5.0 out of 5 stars Great Framework, November 23, 2010
This review is from: Inevitable Doubt: Two Theories of Shii Jurisprudence (Studies in Islamic Law and Society) (Hardcover)
Professor Gleave creates a logical and clean framework to compare and contrast the foundations of jurisprudence according to two important Shi'i scholars: one from the Akhbari tradition and one from the Usuli tradition. His book follows Bahrani's foundational framework and brings Bihbihani's work into conversation with that framework.

A recommended work for individuals interested in Islamic intellectual history, fiqh, and epistemological theories.
