Book Description

Juliet Fenster is a notorious flirt, who enjoys the wooing that occurs during the London Season too much to give her heart, especially not to a proper stuffy American like R.J. Hopkins. R.J. is determined not to be drawn into Juliet's scheming plans. He has no intention of becoming one of the beguiling beauty's legion of admirers until he sees her singing under the full moon and falls under her spell. Now this Romeo and Juliet have to try not to succumb to the tragic fate of their namesakes and instead find their way to a happily ever after.

3.0 out of 5 stars It has potential but....... November 13, 2011
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Ok. So I bought this book even though I had only read the first one in the series and didn't even like it that much.
I was intrigued by the excerpt and the first sample chapters enough. I enjoyed the first chapters and actually quite liked the book Up until the wedding. After that it all went down the drain for me. I kept waiting for something interesting to happened. I felt like after that point the newly weds relationshiip in my opinion took a second role to that of the male lead family - bride relationship. I find that as with the first book the ending seems rush and there are so many points that are just left hanging, that I ask my self why even mentioned them. This is the first romance book I read where the spouses never say I love you to each other. There is this "I know he loves me " near the end and that is it! I believe in showing the love rather than just saying it but common not even once?!
In my honest opinion this dosnt compare with JQ's Bridgerton series...........but that's only my opinion.

Anyway below I explain some of the things that where left open IMO so stop here if u don't want to know them:

1. What's up with the Buttons!? It is mentioned across the hole book. Miranda in one conversation with the groom tells him how Juliet is responsible for the creation of them and to not tell her he knows, so that when she does it will be a sign that she trusts him.........Guess what, she never tell hims!!!! I kept waiting for that!!

2. The Duke makes a toast for the newlyweds stating how he hopes to find Juliet happy when they go visit in the spring ( it was understood as a threat) Guess what, No visit, they where hardly mentioned after that!!!

3. As I mentioned before no declaration of love in the book.

2.0 out of 5 stars My first read of this Author February 18, 2008

Format:Mass Market Paperback
It was not a bad book, I did enjoy some of it, but it seamed to just drop at the end, finished too abruptly. Not one I would look to read the rest of the series.

4.0 out of 5 stars The Infamous Bride August 20, 2013
By atg
Format:Kindle Edition
This book had its own flare to it. The American/Shakespeare themes made it different to the rest. I expected more 'scandal' to be attached to this bride, but it was surprisingly not the case. A few bits were boring, but the end really smacked you in the face with unexpected happenings. Overall, really good, but not the best.

More About the Author

Kelly McClymer fell in love with Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, and Snow White as a child. Her most prized possession is her copy of The Complete Tales of the Brothers Grimm. These are the stories which gripped our ancestors as they huddled around the fire at night, which taught countless children to persevere through hardship and succeed against the odds. Her favorite fairytale remains "The Six Swans" -- where a young sister must not speak a word for six years in order to save her brothers from their stepmother's evil spell.
