This review is from: Infancy & Early Childhood: The Practice of Clinical Assessment & Intervention with Emotional & Developmental Challenges (Hardcover)
Dr. Greenspan passed away this year. Went to a workshop for assessing early childhood development. Got excited about this as I have observed , as does Dr. Greenspan that the problem is not simple and it is systemic.
Using his examples and methods has helped verify my earlier assuptions. It also supports working with people who continue to have problems as adults from childhood trauma. I am sad that I might not bennifit from future productions from Dr. Greenspan, and I am glad that I have found his work. A good place to understand that it isn't the parents fault, they want to love their kid. It isn't the kid's fault cause he/she is trying to communicate to get his/her needs met. A good read for those trying to comprehend the situation before the age of 5 years. |
