Our little one started batting at Dylan when she was about 2 months. She's moved on to crinkling the surfboard, chewing the ring, playing with the two dangling-guys on the bottom... She'll entertain herself with this, and the similar Mallory the Monkey, for quite a while. Highly recommend.

My 3 1/2 month old son really enjoys this toy. He likes the way the surf board crinkles and he is able to easily grasp the ring. The only bummer about this toy is that the feet are sewn onto the surfboard with just a few stiches and one side came off, leaving Dylan lopsided. My son doesn't seem to mind overly much though!
