My baby seemed to like this mobile, but the motor stopped working about a week after I put it up. The mobile would get stuck and make a loud "tick, tick tick" noise - not very soothing. Also the description says it plays 6 melodies, there are actually only 3. The melodies aren't too annoying. Although I would say only 2 of the 3 would be soothing enough for sleep. The third "baby reggae" is cute, but is more for play time than nap time.

A Hit in our Hut,

We didn't start using this mobile until the baby was almost a year old, but he loves it so much that it made transitioning him into his crib much easier.
The 3 song choices are relatively inoffensive and range from playful to soothing and the bunnies "do" enough to hold attention but are not overstimulating. When my son is not quite ready to sleep or is up before we are, he'll press the buttons to amuse himself, which helps to keep the peace. I cannot hear the motor at all, but as this mobile turns and the bunnies' ears and musical instruments move, they do make clicking sounds, which has the potential to annoy some babies or parents. A nice bonus with this mobile is the remote, which will turn it back on to whatever song/movement it was set on when it timed out. If you want to buy yourself more baby distraction without being seen, this is helpful. The remote also has a loop on it which allows it to be hung from a nearby doorknob so that it's handy when you need it.

I just bought this product. The colors, contrast and movement is great. My daughter loves looking at it. BUT the motor is abit noisy. I don't think she minds as this becomes white noise. I would also like the angle to be deeper so that she wasn't seeing it at such an angle.
Overall I really like it. It is much better than the majority of mobiles which are made to look cute instead of actually capturing the baby's attention.

Our baby was beginning to show an interest in the mobile on his pack and play. It's not motorized like the one at his grandparents' house, so we had to spin it by hand. We found this one and were worried that we wouldn't be able to attach it to his sleigh-bed style crib. It goes on great because it uses a pressure screw that slides right between the slats. We tighten the giant plastic screw, and it stays put. We hate the tinny sound of the music, but the beads shifting is really soothing. Our son is content to watch this for what seems like forever. He loves it!
