Your baby can lie on the mat on his back to interact with the activity arch above. It features three bright, interesting, and interactive toys, including a plush flower, a baby-proof mirror that gives baby the opportunity to discover his own face, and a cute bug that plays a short melody when it is pulled.
When you and your baby are finished playing, you can easily zip up the mat to store it away. The activity arch detaches easily and can be quickly installed over your baby's crib, making for more versatile use.
A Toy to Grow with Your Little One
The Wiggle Worm Gym offers plenty of opportunity for growing and learning. We especially like that the characters on the activity bar are angled to make important "eye contact" with the baby, which isn't always the case with activity mats. This mat also encourages the "tummy time" that pediatricians recommend for infants for strengthening neck and arm muscles. Unlike some other mats, the Wiggle Worm provides enticements for your baby to spend more time on his tummy with its interesting colors, textures, and fabrics.
The Wiggle Worm is designed to grow with your little one through several stages of his early development: as a newborn he'll love just looking at the characters and watching you interact with the toys -- but before you know it, he'll be reaching for them himself with his hands and feet, and rolling over on his own to play with the catepillar's antennae.
Finally, this activity mat's compact size and relatively inexpensive price tag make the Wiggle Worm an economical choice. It is a bit smaller than other activity mats on the market, which give your baby a bit more room to play, but its compact size makes it easy to store and carry without sacrificing fun or educational quality.

Cute But Not Safe,
This review is from: Infantino Wiggle Worm Gym (Baby Product)
This video shows the bar and how easily it can pull out. This toy is cute and colorful and my son liked it immediately. He started to grab at the toys and kick and pull. He's 4 1/2 months. HOWEVER, I would never let him play with this toy if I wasn't around. He very easily pulled the bar out as nothing holds it in place. In addition, the orange plastic pieces are a bit cheap and snap out of place also. I am debating on returning mine because the idea was to have a toy that would entertain him without me having to sit there and watch. I would not walk away because the plastic toys could hit him in the head when the bar pops out. On the packaging it says that you should keep the bar at a distance so that your child can not mouth the toys, however, our son tugged on one of the links until he got it to his mouth (the bar is very flexible). And a minor point would be that for some reason the link toys do not stay linked very well and within seconds they were unlinked and on the floor. FIND SOMETHING MORE STURDY AND RELIABLE

Baby loves this Gym!,

My baby girl loves to play on this gym since she was 6 weeks old. I have not had any trouble with the bar popping out. It is very sturdy even when I pull on it. I like that you can change out the toys. I didn't realize that the flower played music - you do have to pull on it hard to make it do so - I don't know how a baby could reach this toy to make it play which is one of the reasons I give it four stars. I also didn't like the rattle/mirror toy and changed it for something else. Overall, it is a fun activity for my baby!

Not a great design,

This review is from: Infantino Happy Hippo Travel Gym (Baby Product)
We bought this playmat for our daughter and we have the same problems with the bar popping out and hitting our baby. She likes to play on it, but gets so scared everytime she kicks the bar and it pops out. Also, I think the toys are positioned too high. My 4 month old can barely reach them. Also, we have to lay her more towards the bottom for her to really even be able to see the toys. I do love how it zippers closed and is easy to transport. However, overall, I would not recommend this particular mat.
