If I make the straps on that clip looser, she seems insecure.

My husband and I used this carrier while we were on vacation, and thought it was pretty great. My eight-month-old (18 pound) baby fits in it very well and enjoys the ride quite a bit. It is fairly easy to figure out and adjust the straps to the right lengths. I like the versatility of the carrying positions; different positions for different situations. My baby fell asleep in it at the airport while we were traveling and slept just fine forward facing as well as when he was on my back. I find the carrier comfortable to wear both front and back for about an hour or so (which is really long for a carrier of this type).

My complaint with the carrier is that it seems like it is better suited for smaller people. I am barely 5'1'' and it fits me great, but my husband does not find it very comfortable to wear because the lap strap is too high so it doesn't rest on his hips (he's 5'11'').

Overall, it's a great, inexpensive carrier that my baby loves, but it is probably better for shorter people.

I'm astonished by the negative reviews. We have 16 and 13 pound twins, and my husband and I LOVE these carriers. Once adjusted to your frame, you can slide it right over your head, except for the lumbar support, which I don't even use - I find the main carrier to be quite comfortable. More importantly, our babies love them, and they are very easy to get the babies in and out of

I liked this at first. I admit I bought it because it was cheap. I did tons of research on baby carriers. I wanted something that did front carry (facing in and facing out) and back carry. I added the Beco Baby Gemini to my Amazon baby registry, but no one bought it. So try to save money, I bought this thinking it would be comparable. It is not.

I've only used it as front carry, facing in. You have to wait until your baby has head/neck control before you can switch him/her to facing out. My baby has been at that point for a while now, but I barely use the Infantino Flip because it is painful to me and seems uncomfortable to my daughter. The padding near the top clip actually rubs/digs into her cheek. If I make the straps on that clip looser, she seems insecure. After wearing it for 10 minutes, my shoulder is killing me. The padding leaves a lot to be desired.

I found I could easily put this on though; clip the back piece then "dive" into the carrier (put your head in, then put each arm in). It was much faster than the Moby Wrap a friend gave me. It beats lugging the carseat into stores. My baby plus my carseat (Graco snug ride 35) is just too heavy now that she's getting older (and she's only 14 lbs).

I broke down and bought the Beco Baby Gemini. I tried a Ergo Baby (original) on in the baby box store. The straps on it were amazing, but I really want to be able to have the option to wear my baby facing outward (the Ergo baby carriers do not allow for this). I can always bring her back facing inward if she is overwhelmed, tired, wants to nurse, etc.

You really do get what you pay for. If you don't plan on babywearing, or don't plan on baby wearing very long, this will do. If you want to wear your baby often, spend the money on something better; don't waste it on this.

I am a first time mom and I received several different carriers as gifts. My daughter always seemed to be her happiest when she was being carried around so I had a lot of oportunity to try several carriers. I was using a different brand and noticed that my back and neck were always so sore after wearing it for any extended amount of time. I also felt that my daughter was quickly outgrowing it and she seemed uncomfortable. That's when I discovered the Flip carrier and it has made all the difference. Not only does she fit SO much better, there's still plenty of room for her to grow. She is almost 20 pounds now and I don't have any problem wearing her comfortably. She screams with excitement every time she see's me putting it on. It is super easy to put on and it is adjustable to fit any size. The best part is that it offers the flexibility to wear it on your back like a backpack or in the front. I don't know what I'd do without this product and I am thrilled that it will continue to grow with my daughter. Infantino has a terrific video demonstration of all their carriers, including how to wear them on their website too so check it out.

My baby is currently three months old and her head isn't steady yet, so we've only tried the inward-facing front position. All comments are based on a 13 lb. baby in that position.

This is a decent carrier for the price, but only if you are fairly small and don't plan on wearing it for long periods.

Pros:

- Easy to get on and off once the straps are connected and it's roughly adjusted to you (after the first wearing). This is much easier for me to get on one-handed than the other carriers we have (Ergo, Moby, and traditional Hmong carrier).

- Baby has a good range of vision and motion, even facing in. My baby hates having her face covered or her head restricted, so she prefers this to the Moby or similar wraps now when she still needs head support.

- Not too bulky. Much less bulk than the Ergo plus infant insert, so easier for me to use my hands.

Cons:

Size - I am 5'5" and average weight and can adjust this to fit me pretty well. My average weight, 6'1" husband can't get it even vaguely comfortable. The shoulder straps are curved wrong for someone of his height and shoulder width, and the hip belt is too high. We can trade the Ergo back and forth with only ~15 seconds of adjustment time to fit us both perfectly.

Comfort - this feels good for about 10-20 minutes of wearing it, and I can tell that I'm bearing all the weight on my shoulders from the moment I put it on. Fine for some small chores or running into the store to grab a few things but miserable for an afternoon out. All the other carriers we have are more comfortable at the half-hour mark, and the Ergo wins for us at the hour+ range.

A good buy if you have the right needs, but it'll never be our primary carrier.
