I purchased this carrier after registering for and receiving the Parents of Invention Ultimate Baby Mei Tai Black Reversible One-Size-Fits-All for my baby shower. The Mei Tai had received good reviews, and was supposed to fit larger sized people, so we thought it would be good for my husband and I. While it is a good carrier, it is very hard to get my daughter in and out of it alone. This Infantino carrier had gotten great reviews (well deserved), so I decided to give it a try. I am so glad we purchased it! My daughter (11 weeks old) is very comfortable riding in front, facing in and, very recently, facing out. It is easy to adjust to any body, and has a lumbar support which we both find helpful and comfortable. It doesn't become uncomfortable after a long period of time. It fits both my husband and me just fine, and we are both on the larger side. Best yet, it is very easy to drop my daughter in on my own, and to take her out is just as simple. I feel like she is in there securely, and it can easily be adjusted while she is in to make it fit her perfectly. All in all, a great bargain- my only wish is that we had registered for this carrier first!

We decided on this carrier because of positive reviews and the weight range. Our work requires a lot of outside walking and our little one is often with us. The straps are wide with plenty of cushioning and are generous in length so the carrier is easily adjusted to fit either of our body frames. It is easier to adjust the straps before putting little one in, but we found they can still be adjusted, with a little more effort, once little one is in place. We have only carried in the front facing position and our little one loves it. The fabric is soft, cushiony, and breathes. The leg openings have velcro which make them easy to adjust, and there is a strap with a clip to reinforce the hold. Our little one often naps and the front fabric folded down serves as a soft and supportive pillow for him. My husband has worn this without difficulty, but it has put a lot of pressure on my neck and back. I have found that tightening the straps and having little one higher up does not put so much pressure. All in all a great purchase for our family.

This carrier works great. Once you get it figured out the first time, it is really easy to put on and put your child in - even with no help from anyone else. The straps are comfortable and it is soft and comfy for the baby. You can face your child in or out and put them on your front or back. This carrier fits well on either me (and I am pretty petite) or my husband - it can be adjusted to fit any size.

I honestly don't see why you need to spend more money on the big name brand carriers like the BabyBjörn Baby Carrier Synergy - Black- this one is fabulous. I've got no complaints.

I received this carrier as a gift from a friend for my 3 month-old baby, and had hopes that it would be decent, and I could use it often. As it turns out, I rarely use it, and am now shopping for a Boba carrier for longer periods of walking and back-carrying, since I got the opportunity to try one out and found it far superior. I'll list the pros and cons of the Infantino carrier.


Pros:
-It holds the baby. If you just want a few moments with your hands free, this carrier will hold the baby, and give you that luxury.

-Once you get used to how to maneuver the baby and the carrier, the strap and buckle system isn't really that hard to figure out, especially following the directions with the carrier and keeping a bit of dexterity, though getting the baby on your back is impossible by yourself, which is a bummer if you're like me and don't have the luxury of having someone around to help often.

-I like the fact that the back of the carrier folds down and has the ability to snap in place, and comes with a bib.

Cons:
-The carrier does not sit close to your body, which results in the baby feeling very unstable, especially in the front-facing position. Half the time, I felt like my baby was going to fall right out of the carrier, and she would wobble pretty precariously from side to side if I so much as shifted my body weight. And there was no way to adjust that without cutting into her armpit, and even then, she still swung away from my body enough to make me feel nervous.

-All the weight of the baby is on your shoulders, and I mean all. My baby is not even that heavy yet, probably about 13 lbs, and just a few minutes with her in the carrier pulled my shoulders back and my pelvis forward to compensate, which really didn't help my back, especially after being in the position for about 5 months prior to that when I was pregnant.

-The straps only adjust to a certain point, and then they still feel very loose. I never felt like any of them fit me properly, though they might fit someone who's a bit larger than I am fairly decently. Also, the lumbar support strap doesn't do anything whatsoever. I could have not used it and it would have made absolutely no difference.

-The back support for the baby felt rather thin and flimsy, and didn't give the baby a secure position near my body at all.

-The entire apparatus is a crotch-dangler, in that it leaves the baby's legs dangling straight down, which puts a lot of pressure on their groin and leg area, and can lead to a separation of the hips if used a lot. Since I have a baby that tends to be rather high maintenance, I need to carry her around quite often, and I don't like the thought of all that pressure on her hips for any extended period of time at all.


To summarize, it's not the kind of carrier that'll fall apart on you, but it's certainly not one of the best out there. Economical, yes. But you definitely get what you pay for. I use an Over-The-Shoulder Baby Holder padded ring sling now for around the house and short shopping trips, and I LOVE it. I would recommend a sling for a younger baby up to 4 months (like a Maya ring sling) since they're so versatile, and then a carrier like Ergo or Boba for a bit older babies and longer periods of carrying, like hiking.

We recently bought this and used it only once so far. It was a hike in the mountains with our 20 pound 9 month old in my back. She did not complain at all and neither would I.

I really like this carrier - I had tried 2 others with my other babies without doing any research. Someone wrote that they were not skinny and this one still fit so I tried it. It's great, it fits and is comfortable, just a little awkward to get him out of without help - I'll admit I haven't tried the step by step directions that came with it because I like to just figure things out and luckily someone has always been around to help me so far. Anyway - I do recommend it highly!

This is an excellent buy for anyone whose baby doesnot like the ride in the stroller. Very easy to wear and unbeleivably easy to take the baby in and out. The 5-star rating says it all!!!

The product can be put on, but you have to pull it over your head so that the back strap can be snapped if you are wearing the baby on the front. Also, the lumbar "support" doesn't even have an effect on how the baby is held, so it doesn't really support anything. I borrowed a Baby B'Jorn from a friend, and decided that despite the cost, I was going to return this and spend the extra money for something I could use on my own.

I don't know how this item got such great reviews. I received the Infantion Carrier as a gift.. The straps are extremely difficult and confusing.. it gets tangled up easily, and at one point I needed help getting out of them. I would not recommend this baby carrier.

The straps are very complicated and dangle loosely. It's impossible to get on and off by yourself. I actually got stuck in it and thought I'd have to call for help. The clips that hold the baby to you require two hands to undo, making it impossible to hold the baby secure while undoing the straps. The only way to get him out is to lean over the couch so he can rest on it while undoing the clips. I know this is supposed to keep the clips from coming undone while walking around, but it makes it unsafe when you actually do want to open them. They should be secure but quick-release, so you can get the baby out quickly if there's an emergency. No matter what I do, there seems to be no way to position my newborn so his face isn't smashed against my chest, making me worry about suffocation.
