5.0 out of 5 stars Invincible single, December 14, 2005
This review is from: Infection (Audio CD)
This is the most haunting song I've ever listened to. I know no equal to Infection. Onitsuka's specialty, the piano in the back; singing the type of song she does best. Do you remember the last time you found a track for which you thought "yes, I will be in love with this forever."

After Infection, it's hard to ever find another ballad with zero-cheese (get out, celine dion and your like!), and so much spirit. Perfect music and lyrics... This is the song which brought me to falling in love with Onitsuka's singing.

5.0 out of 5 stars Jpop at its Best!!, August 24, 2005
This review is from: Infection (Audio CD)
I bought the full length album with this single 3 years ago, yet I still listen to "infection" all the time. It has got to be the the most dramatic and beautiful song I've ever heard, even surpasing Celine Dion's famous "My Heart Will Go On." This song is way better--because it's not the sort of mushy love song that Dion specializes in! Whether your a Jpop fan, or just a fan of great music, I recommend getting, not only the single, but the full-length album, "This Armor." You won't regret it! Onitsuka ROCKS!!!!

She's a newcomer on the Jpnz music scene. Se's actually from Miyazaki in southern Japan. Her voice is soothing, even if you don't understand what she is singing, in a way that is similar to Tara Maclean an dother female singer-songwriters. Onitsuki is not one of those teeny bopper teen-idols that Japan is so famous for. I don't thnk she can dance but she sure can sing. I resisted for ages from buying this because I was going to rent it and cpy it (heaven forbid). I think I drove my husband up the wall every time I heard her songs on the radio or TV. Finally I picked up the album version of this (released in 2002). I'm so glad I finally got it. The actual album has 10 songs. the beginning is okay, but the ending songs are definitely better -- so much so that I'm always surprised when the CD ends. I always want it to play longer. BTW, if you like her, I also recommend Chitose Hajime, another newcomer with a POWERFUL voice that belies her youth and tiny stature.
