Onwards into the continuum,

This review is from: Infinessence (Audio CD)
Repeating their practice of excelling each last excellent compilation, Interchill Records' Infinessence defines the latest evolution of key ambient styles. Moody, melodic, gorgeous and uplifting, this fine body of music introduces some new artists while maintaining the integrity of spirit of the previous collections. In one word - wonderful.

enact the ritual of near-sleep,

This review is from: Infinessence (Audio CD)
This is a collection from interchill of global space-out, meditateand ease off into haze pieces. Some perform the function of background music for blissed-out conversations; others' benefits are in the soporific; while a good number enact the ritual of near-sleep and slow-drip comfort. There is the piano laden Fluxation by Lumo from UK, and the song Steeps' gliding hallucinogenic sounds of someone freaking out and what sounds like another getting their teeth cleaned are really beatboxing, voices by Andreanne Alain and music by Freeworm of Montreal. There are the snips and snaps of Watershell from Toronto and the particularly trippy Omnimotion track called Underdub. Some of the other artists featured are from Romania, New Zealand, and Czech Republic. MM, |
