A social development,
By Connla Lyons (Thurles, County Tipperary Ireland) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Infinite Ryvius - Vital Guarder (Vol. 2) (DVD)
This dvd is the perfect continuation from the first dvd, which ended after just setting its characters up in a tense and socially, divided environment. While this all sounds too political for some viewers, trust me it is and that's what great about it. Unlike Star Trek its not afraid to show large scale crew disagreements and mutiny on a regular and believable basis. The characters all become intertwined and seem at times to reflect political leaders or ideologies of the past. This though does not get in the way of the story at hand and even without any historical or political knowledge it increases the tension ten fold. The animation is suited for its setting and the design of the ships and other equipment is amazingly inventive and detailed. I love this series and highly recommend to anyone looking for a sci fi space opera with a bit more bit then both star trek and star wars. |
