I bought this clock for several reasons. The dark wooden frame gives it a very sophisticated look - very antique-y. It has aesthecialy pleasing appearing numbers. I hate Roman numerals on clocks. And it has no second hand. I don't want a second hand. It clutters the face of the clock for no useful reason. When was the last time you looked at a wall clock and paid any attention at all to the second hand, much less used it for anything? The lack of a second hand adds to its classic look. This is a non-pretentious but beautiful clock. Just as an aside, the majority of clocks being displayed for sale have the time at 10:10 just like this one. 10:10 is considered to be the most pleasing appearance for a clock.

I looked for this clock a long time and it did not fail my expectations. It is as pictured and keeps great time.

This is a great clock for the money. It keeps time beautifully, is easy to read and best of all, it looks like a much more expensive product.

Couple things that may help others: It's not loud, but when all is quiet, you'll hear it tick. I was looking for a quiet clock, but didn't find much feedback on silent clocks. Also, it doesn't hang flat against the wall - expect a 3/4" gap due to the clock housing on the back. So far, it keeps time well and looks good.

I've had the clock about a month and so far it's working great. It's very attractive; the only thing is I wish they had it in a larger size.
