I BOUGHT this TO BE PART OF A DECORATIVE WAll arrangement. I looks nice in the picture but in person it looks really cheap and plasticy. In addition it keeps poor time loosing about 1hour a day.
UPDATE It got knocked off the wall and broke the 5 and 6 off. I'm not sure that means anything, but I'm glad I wasn't in love with it.

This is a great "project" clock for creative people. Yes, this clock is obviously plastic (it's only $20). Yes, it's monochromatic, so the hands were hard to see. I ordered it for my sister who likes SteamPunk decor, and since we are both a bit artsy we got a few colors of metallic paint (copper, brass, silver) and repainted the whole thing. It looks amazingly cool now! The paint job took away the plastic look. And by painting the gears a dark copper color and the hands silver, it's very easy to see what time it is. This clock is a cool style; it just needs a new coat of paint.

Not sure what "featuring gear movements" means, because these gears do not move. The clock is plastic and cheap and tacky and awful! Worst purchase on Amazon ever. Not worth $1, let alone $25. I waited 3 months for this to come in on back order and was really disappointed once I opened the box.

Nice clock

Gear clock
This description insinuated that the gears move. They do not. I still like the clock, but was disappointed. Would pay more for a clock with moving gears.

Its ok but not great.
