Do you have an amped system or at the very least an aftermarket head unit? If so, these are the replacement speakers for you.
Don't have either of those things? Well, you should probably go with the Reference series... they do a better job when they have to run off your stock head unit. I installed these Kappas with a stock head unit, and the head unit couldn't power them sufficiently for the bass to be clear on the higher settings. These speakers are higher end for Infinity, and I really recommend an amp or a 50W X 4 head unit. Otherwise, you're might be a tad disappointed. The speakers are EXTRAORDINARILY clear. Seriously, all you need is a little extra power from an amp or aftermarket head unit, and you'll love it. You might not even need to get a sub, depending on how hard you like to bump.

Amazing sound quality!..
i have the 6x9 and the 6 1/2 kappas and the sound is great. i have not put my amplifier yet and i can't stay inside my car with that sound!!. the best speakers i have heard ever!!! =D

Many people say that the infinity kappa products produce great highs and mediocre lows. This does hold true, but only for the smaller sized speakers. These 6x9s will not sound like a sub, but still put out excellent bass for their size. If you have a subwoofer, these speakers balance that out perfectly! Even off headunit power alone, a pair of these are louder than any 4 ohm speaker off the same power. Gotta love the 2 ohm!

I bought a pair of these and mounted them in MDF boxes so I can move the speakers at will. I have powered these with a JVC receiver and a 4 x 45watt amplifier. The sound is great but I did add a small subwoofer under the passenger front seat to hold down the bottom. I`m very pleased with the sound.
