5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent Speakers
Great speakers for the money! Provide very clear and good overall audio quality. A little lacking in the lower mid-range, but a subwoofer will make up for that.

I paired these with an Infinity PS12 Subwoofer and they haven't let me down.

The other review by Matthew Smith "IBI", noted the lacked mid-range. Well if you did your research which...

3.0 out of 5 stars decent speakers
I bought these to replace the very large speakers for my 5 channel pro-logic system, and still ended up using the large speakers in speaker B parallel port to handle low mids and bass. Luckily I was able to conceal the large speakers behind my large TV. The rear and center speakers are superior to my previous set, but these five speakers are not very good by themselves...

Well if you did your research which you definitely didn't you would notice the frequency response for these is:

Frequency Response
100Hz - 20kHz (±3dB)

With the frequency response dropped off at 100Hz, that pretty much requires a subwoofer to bring up the lower frequencies. These were meant to be part of a 5.1 system.

I've got these for a couple of years now and I'm just really impressed. I'm running them off of a Yamaha 5.1 channel receiver and they work and sound great. Certainly, there are better sounding speakers but for the money these would be hard to beat. I've got the front channels replaced and running the granddaddy of the Infinity Primus lineup, the 362's. These are a beast of a speaker and really sound great. I'll eventually replace the center channel with the larger Primus center, the 350 simply because the current one has a hard time standing up to the 362's. All in all its a great buy and will really give you nice sound.

Also, these will get quite loud if powered properly!

I have used infinity speakers since 1998 and wanted to upgrade my surround speakers from 5.1 to 7.1. I tried the center speaker, however I already had a infinity primus pc250 and decided to stick with the primus since it is better quality, so I have no input on the center speaker since I do not use it. Even though you are supposed to match speakers, my Denon AVR 890 reciever with Audyssey adjusted to match the right volume.

The surround speakers really supprised me as to the base they can put out. You can adjust your receiver to speakers large for these surround and that made a world of difference. I was watching a movie and I felt my hair blowing and though it was from my subwoofer, but was shocked when it was coming from behind me.

Overall very satisfied, and I did not plan on using the center speaker anyway. It was just cheaper to by the pack than individual surround speakers.

If you have a 5.1 channel system, then do yourself a favor and buy this set, along with the sub-woofer of your choice. You'll be a lot happier, and you won't have to hook up 7 speakers in order to get quality 5 channel surround.
