Put these in my '04 Accord at the stock tweeter location at the front corners below the windshield. Lots of mounting options are included in the package to mount these just about anywhere. These replaced a set of MB Quart reference tweets (no longer available) that totally lost their punch. I bypassed the MB Quart crossover and installed the included crossover since these have similar cutoff frequency at about 2.5kHZ which is typical of better quality tweeters. Driving them with a PPI4100 amp that puts out 100 Watts RMS per channel and have pushed them hard (but not very long - ouch!) with no distortion or loss of quality. Not quite as bright sounding as the Alpine tweeters - but Alpines are characteristically bright in general. Great Buy!

In my opinion, Infinity makes some of the best sounding car speakers on the market. As an old pro (50 years old), I have owned a broad spectrum of car stereo equipment over the years. Old school Alpine and Concord cassette decks in the 70s, Clarion, Kenwood, and Pioneer CD decks, JVC media players. Alpine, Infinity component separates, Polk Audio, and clarion speakers. For the money, you can't beat them. These tweeters have a smooth, balanced sound to them. They seem to perform best around the frequencies of the typical hi hat (2500-3000 Hz). You clearly hear the 'tat-tat' of cymbals, they are not harsh; you can listen to them for hours without fatigue. These appear to be the same tweeters that they sell in their reference component systems.

They are somewhat directional and need to be pointed near the listener for best performance. Though not as directional or efficient as horn loaded tweeters, they can be driven with modest power from a deck or with a separate amplifier. The only change I would recommend would be to add an angled surface mount option. Their current 'angled' method is to flush mount them, which requires some depth and you have to cut a large hole. They come with an in-line choke to protect them from lower frequencies, so no additional crossover is needed.

Easy install on a 2003 BMW 330i front door. (the supplied star bracket was needed) Huge improvement over OEM speakers. Weird, twenty words are needed to submit this review, so I'm wasting your time by adding more words than necessary :p

These are an unbelievable value! The sound is crisp, clean and accurate. Aside from a sub, these made a bigger difference than any speaker replacement I’ve made over the years. (And I’ve made too many) I replaced the 3 ½ “dash speakers in a Commander with these. It had the upgraded Boston Acoustic sound system with factory amp. These were two ohm and matched the speakers removed. (It actually says 3 ohm on the speaker itself, but Infinity claims it’s 2. Either way, they sound great! If they’re 3 ohm, I guess the amp can work a little easier. 4 ohm and you’d most likely lose a noticeable amount of volume coming out of the same location. I replaced the factory head unit at the same time with a Kenwood DVD. It had crossovers built in that allowed some of the bass to be removed from the rest of the factory system. Once they weren’t trying to reproduce the deep bass notes they were never intended to make, the factory system sounded so much better. Even the bass sounded better. I added these and a small separate sub & amp and the thing sounds better than any of the multiple amp, sub, speaker systems I put in everything back in the day… It wouldn’t be the same without these little guys though. They added a top end that screams with absolute clarity!
A side note. There are multiple mounting options available, but none of them would work in my situation. I wanted these to mount in the stock 3” ½ dash location and be under the stock speaker grills. There was nothing included that would span the opening. I had to get creative and quickly fab a cross bar that would mount to the factory holes that I could then mount these to. It would have been nice if they would have included a simple piece of plastic that would fit a factory opening and allow these to mount in the middle. As I mentioned before though, there are multiple mounting options. Just none for what I needed. Still 5 stars.

Just got these and adapted them to fit in my 2000 grand cherokee. Threw them on and it was like a night and day difference. If you do buy these, YOU MUST BUY AN AMP! They will not just plug into a stock system and sound good without power and you risk blowing them. I picked these over the kappas due to the 3ohm rating to match better to my 2-way crossovers for my system. Warning! The second picture shown of a crossover network for 2-way is **NOT INCLUDED** in the kit, only a single in line crossover for the each tweeter is supplied. Best part about these are all of the different mounts/mounting brackets included. You can REALLY get a good angle on the tweeter once planted with one of the mounts.

These are some decent little speakers for what they cost. The sound quality is good but a bit too bright for my taste. I used these to replace the factory dash mount speakers in my jeep wrangler(required slight trimming of opening) so they are pointed directly at you. In correct combination with other components, you can get a decent sound quality for relatively little money.

Excellent!. I have owned and used infinity speakers for quite some time now (Both home and auto) and am as pleased as always. Tweeters replaced the stock tombstone pair on an 09 JK Wrangler and really woke up the system. These are a direct fit (Minor polyfill padding suggested to keep the tweeters against the stock grilles). Highly recommended.

I bought these to replace the 11 year old 1" tweeters in my 2001 Toyota convertible. It was hard to find 1" tweeters by themselves and not as part of a component set. These tweeters come with a ton of different mounting options (including swivel), so one will surely work in your car. Any tweeter is VERY directional. It is important that they are near and pointed at least one of your ears, with the middle of the front window post being a popular mounting choice (though in my GMC truck, the OEM tweeters face the windshield instead of the driver!)
They are small, and fit easily behind the built-in grill at the top edge of the Toyota's door panel. The included crossover is also small (about the size of my thumb), and it simply got taped to one of the cables in the door. The tweeters are mounted in parallel with the 4 ohm Kicker door speakers, which also have a tiny (and fairly worthless) 1/2" dime-sized tweeter in the middle.

As for quality of sound, I personally found that is hard to tell from a tweeter alone, after unplugging the main door speaker. Perhaps if I had a Ella Fitzgerald CD (with her glass-breaking high notes) I could tell you more. The tweeter only produces the parakeet-like high notes, with no rhythm (like the sub) or melody (like the midrange). It did seem to round out the door speaker's sound with some high notes I hadn't noticed before in familiar songs, so it seems to be doing its job.

I have been tying to find speakers to replace the blown tweeters in my 1999 Jeep Grand Cherokee without much luck other than getting new Mopar speakers. From all the reviews I have read the new Mopar speakers will still blow after a while. I tried the 3.5 inch Infinity speakers, but they are too large. So I got these and they are amazing; the high frequency response is great and they still retain a good midrange. The only downside is that they are too small. So I had to fabricate an adapter out of plywood to fit the dimensions of the old speakers. Other than that I don't think you can get better quality for the money.

I have an 08 Honda Ridgeline with factory Navi. For those that don't know Hondas are known for having some of the worst sounding factory systems out there. After years of listening to muddy music I decided to give these a try upon recommendation from the Honda Ridgeline Forum. After installation the change was mediate. The sound stage was brought up and forward. Finally, I can hear more defined vocals. I also head things I never realized were there. Makes listen to music even more enjoyable now. Makes me wonder if the factory tweeters even worked at all. If changing only the tweeters can make music sound this good I can't wait to see what changing out all all the door speakers will do. This should hold me over until I have the funds and time to swap out all the stock speakers.
