2.0 out of 5 stars Inifinity's 5350a Car Amp
I bought this amp brand new less than a year ago and it has already died on me. My entire system was professionally installed and sounded great but for the price of the amp I certainly expected it to last much longer. I will be purchasing the Alpine PDX-5 as the replacement since there is no warranty. I loved the amp but would warn anyone due to it's short life span. The...

2.0 out of 5 stars Inifinity's 5350a Car Amp, September 20, 2010

I bought this amp brand new less than a year ago and it has already died on me. I will be purchasing the Alpine PDX-5 as the replacement since there is no warranty. I loved the amp but would warn anyone due to it's short life span. The amp was installed in my pickup which is used on weekends, etc. and I never neglected my system like someone younger may have done. Buyer beware!

5.0 out of 5 stars 5-channel amp, March 16, 2009
This review is from: Infinity Reference 5350a High Performance 5-Channel Amplifier (Silver/Black) (Electronics)
I was worried after purchasing the amp because I read a poor review. Knowing that my daughter wanted a hard-hitting sub, I was worried. However, after listening to her stereo my fears were unwarranted. The stereo sounds great and my daughter is very happy with her system.

3.0 out of 5 stars better than stock stereo, May 30, 2008

Bought from Hooked on Tronics for $250. That's the only reason it has three stars. It does sound better than the stock set-up, but marginally so, even with Alpine CDA-9885 AND Alpine Type S Component 5-1/4" (middle of the road components). If you stick with 50 watt RMS speakers, and are not too concerned with high volume quality audio and want better-than-stock performance from your car, then this is amp is for you. Bass is similar performance, even at 2ohms. Again, stick with lower end speakers to maximize sound quality at higher levels (ie: lower RMS rating, like a sub with 250 tops). Overall I paid for what I got. Nothing special, but enough to make higher than stock quality sound. (Even the Alpine deck alone sounded better). I notice that the highs are first to distort, usually the opposite every other amp I 've used.
