4.0 out of 5 stars Very good speakers
***Update*** I've decided to upgrade my rating to 5 stars due to the fact that I've never heard anything sound better than these speakers do for 50 bucks.

(4.5 stars) I ordered these speakers online after comparing them to a bunch of others at a car stereo shop. I compared them to 7 or 8 (all 6.5 inch) different ones ranging from $40-$90 and the Infinitys...

1.0 out of 5 stars Much worse bass response than Saab factory door speakers
Installed these in the doors of my 2005 Saab 9-3. For this model Saab, the factory crossover only sends bass to the doors. The Infinities handled most bass guitar ok but any kind of bass drum caused them to distort and pop. I removed them and re-installed the factory Pioneer speakers.

***Update*** I've decided to upgrade my rating to 5 stars due to the fact that I've never heard anything sound better than these speakers do for 50 bucks.

(4.5 stars) I ordered these speakers online after comparing them to a bunch of others at a car stereo shop. I compared them to 7 or 8 (all 6.5 inch) different ones ranging from $40-$90 and the Infinitys were superior to all of them. The second closest ones were some Pioneer Premiers which had great highs and bass superior to the rest, except the Infinitys. The 6022i's were a clear standout in the highs and lows and I was particularly impressed with the very tight and powerful bass response of these speakers. An angled stand-off tweeter is also a cool feature on these which shoots the sound more in your direction. They were the most expensive ones in the room however at $99 but I got them for 50 bucks online and I believe they're worth every penny. Very well made as well, the membrane surrounding the woofer cone is a very thick rubber and the speaker has a quality overall look to it. I had no trouble with installation, they come with a metal adapter plate with holes drilled for just about any configuration, and a plastic adapter plate (which I didn't use) as well as metal clips for mounting to a door panel.

I have had the 6022si speakers for a month now and they sound great. The bass is adequate, but would be better if there were a little more power going to the speakers. The stereo imaging from these is fantastic. The adjustable tweeters really help. The vocals and highs are crisp and clean. I highly recommend them. Bump the power up to 30 or 40 watts RMS and they will really blow your socks off.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great upgrade, March 22, 2008

I just replaced the speakers in the rear doors of my 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee limited. The installation was easy and the sound is excellent. The 3db button on the speaker made a noticable difference to me. Now I like to sit in the back instead of the front. I just need to do the rest of my speakers with inifity. Great.

So I picked these up to replace the stock speakers in my G8 GT. How could I have such a powerful aggressive looking car with such a terrible audio system? I relpaced all four door speaker with these and let me tell you I could not be happier. I've replaced the speakers on the last three cars I've owned and thse are hands down the sweetest sounding. Excellent highs and mids, and solid bass. Teamed with the two 8 in subs in the rear deck that I replaced I have the cleanest sounding sound system I have ever owned in a car...

Now I know there are higher "better" speakers on the market, but if you are looking to run speakers off a stock reciever, these are a great choice considering they run at 2.6 ohms. Perfect for those who don't want to utilize an amp. Good Luck...

I replaced the stock 4" speakers in the doors of my BMW 645 with these. (Had to cut out the door panels a little, but it all fit - tightly though).
What an incredible difference these Infinity 6022i speakers make. It never occurred to me that a $70 investment would provide such an astonishing improvement to the 'premium' sound system of a $80K+ car. Recommended to anyone.

I bought these speakers to replace factory speakers. When the volume is turned up they sound absolutely wonderful. If the volume isn't very high, they sound about the same as the factory speakers. I thought it was just me, but friends & family have mentioned the same thing. Overall though, they sound great, were easy to install, and were on sale for a perfect price.

Speaker sounds very clear. I have been through a couple other brands but i think this is by far the best value for your money both for clarity and loudness.

4.0 out of 5 stars OK speakers, poor adapter bracket, July 18, 2007

The speakers sound fine, the little button on the center tweeter didn't make any difference to my untrained ears. My factory speakers were blown so anything would have sounded better. I was mounting these speakers in a '99 LHS front door, so your experience may vary. Infinity thoughtfully supplies an adapter bracket which has 2 holes and 1 slot lining up to the factory speaker holes. There are 2 problems with this bracket: 1) It is too thick, I could no longer put the speaker grille back on the door; and 2) The smaller holes for the speaker mounting were too big for the supplied bolts! A better design would sandwich the speaker between the bracket and the door, then you wouldn't even need the smaller attaching bolts. I ended up throwing the bracket away and drilling directly into the plastic door panel to attach the speakers.
