![]() | The Infinity Reference SeriesInfinity's Reference Series has been engineered to deliver best-in-class performance for those looking to replace or upgrade their factory speakers. Features like Infinity's Plus One (patent pending) woofer cones and edge-driven-dome tweeters have helped position Infinity Reference as the number-one line of automotive loudspeakers for the past six years straight. |
Component Systems are the perfect platform when developing a system with superior imaging and staging. |
Plus One woofer cones
This patent pending technology deliver a cone with more surface area than competing models of the same size. The result is increased bass output and higher efficiency.
Rubber surrounds
This woofer surround material provides optimum cone-edge suspension and absorbs distortions that may travel up the cone edge, adding stronger low-end.
True Four Ohms
All Reference speakers feature two ohm voice coils. Original factory-installed speaker wiring in many cars is 18-22 gauge. This wire, and heating in the voice coil when power is applied, increase the impedance "seen" by the amplifier or head unit. The impedance of Reference Speakers has been adjusted to compensate for this increase and can be safely driven by any head unit.
Edge-driven textile dome tweeter
These are not commonly used w-domes, but fully-edge-driven domes like those found in better home audio speakers. The benefit is increased power handling and reduced distortion at high output levels. This technology also allows for better integration with the mid/woofer.
Crossover network with tweeter adjustment
Each Infinity Reference component system includes a pair of laboratory optimized passive crossover networks that include tweeter adjustment. If the tweeters are located low in the doors or if you are looking for a brighter sound, you can set the tweeter at +3dB.
Versatile Mounting
To facilitate proper installation and location of the tweeter, each Reference component system includes Infinity's patented I-Mount (patent no. 5,859,917) tweeter mounting kit including the Starfish OEM adapter.

Awesome speakers, great price,

These speakers are great. I put them in the front doors of '05 F-150 Supercab. The bass response, while not booming, is far better than stock, even with the factory head unit. I'm sure when a quality HU is installed, they're gonna be even more impressive. Install was straight forward and easy. Took very little enginuity on my part to make the tweeters work in the factory tweeter holes in the front door panels. Opened the holes just a touch, then mounted using the "Starfish"? system that is included. Couple of crimp on connectors and they sound great. Seller was on-time and delivered a great product.

I put these in my 2008 F150 King Ranch Super Crew. I just replaced my factory nav unit with the new Kenwood DNX6960. I put these in the front and with a little tweaking the tweeter fit in the factory location. These absolutely rock my truck. I have a 4 channel Kenwood amp KAC-8405 driving the 6830's in the front and the 6832's in the rear and my factory sub sounds better than ever. Anyone with a Ford F150 considering these buy them. Crutchfield has them for 199.00 so save 100.00 and by them from Amazon.

I bought these for my 2004 ford f-150 super crew. I run a Pioneer head unit, JL audio 300W X 4 Amplifier. They rock loud and clear. I am very happy with the sound. The only down side to the speakers was I had to make a small modification to the factory hole in the front doors where the tweeter goes in. It's not a perfect fit. Without modification the grill panel for the door will not fit back on without smashing the cone of the tweeter a bit.
