Infinity 9632cf Features

Plus One woofer cones
This patent pending technology deliver a cone with more surface area than competing models of the same size. The result is increased bass output and higher efficiency.

True Four Ohms
All Reference speakers feature two ohm voice coils. Original factory-installed speaker wiring in many cars is 18-22 gauge. This wire, and heating in the voice coil when power is applied, increase the impedance "seen" by the amplifier or head unit. The impedance of Reference Speakers has been adjusted to compensate for this increase and can be safely driven by any head unit.

Edge-driven textile dome tweeters
These are not commonly used w-domes, but fully-edge-driven domes like those found in better home audio speakers. The benefit is increased power handling and reduced distortion at high output levels. This technology also allows for better integration with the mid/woofer.

Unipivot
Infinity's Unipivot (patent no. 6,002,780) allows the tweeter to be pointed at the listener's location even when the speaker is mounted off axis. This optimizes the stereo image and ensures a more uniform response.

Tweeter level adjustment
The 9632cf also features a tweeter level adjustment located on the front of the speaker and can be set at the reference level of 0dB. If the speakers are located low in the doors or if you are looking for a brighter sound, set the tweeter at +3dB.

Rubber surrounds
This material provides optimum cone-edge suspension and absorbs distortions that may travel up the cone edge, adding stronger low-end.

Bought these for my new 2010 MINI Cooper S rear speaker replacements. Fit like a charm without any major retrofitting or machining. I did have to add some foam stripping between the body panels and the speakers to get the exact fit but that only helped to seal the sound cavity even better and would have been done anyways to prevent the hard speaker to body rattles/knocking from occurring.
Sound was excellent, much better than the OEM speakers - Bass was rich, full. Treble was nicely present w/o being harsh. The tweeter rotates on the spindle so I was able to cross feed the sound from the back locations to the front seat areas and there is a -3dB switch to attenuate the treble is desired.
I was able to get these at a a close-out price of $79 w/ free shipping so there are certainly no complaints here!

I used these to replace my rear deck speakers (of course with an adaptor bracket) of my 94 BMW 318is, the sound is incredibly nice for such an affordable pair of speakers. The lows are mellow and the highs are crisp. It improved the acoustic in my car for at least 100%. Would recommend to anyone who has the space for a pair of these in their car.
Driven directly from a Clarion 4x50W head unit, no amp was needed.

Purchased these to replace the dead stock speakers in my daughters 98 Camry along with a new head unit. Installed these first and they sounded excellent with the stock head unit. Upon replacing the head unit the sound from them literally exploded. Great highs, fairly decent lows even without a sub. Can't beat them for the price.
