Just recently had the Basslink II install in my Ford ranger. Along with Infinity Kappa speakers and a 400 watt Clarion amp, I am absolutely blown away by the total sound. The Basslink installed in a minimum of space and sounds much bigger than it's size. It give a deep, rich sound without distortion at levels much higher than I would normally use. It is highly adjustable with controls for gain, crossover and volume. I would highly recommend this unit for anyone who wants the best.

I recently purchased a Basslink II to add a little thump to my current system. I didn't want it to be heard thumping blocks away, but something to spice up my Kenwood CD deck in my Elantra.
Well, the unit does what it says and beat my expectations, for such a small unit. I was planning on installing it my self like I did with my speakers, but balked at cutting into my battery terminals and going through my firewall to run the power connections. I went to BestBuy who installed it for me for about $100, which was well worth my time and effort. When I first heard it started up in the garage bay, I looked at my brother and we smiled and looked at each other in amazement! This sucker rocks even when mounted in my trunk! This will not part your hair in the back of your head but does a fantastic job. I would have rated it 5 stars had it parted my hair! Still I am satisfied and my ears thank me!

I bought this for my 09 Honda Fit and my car is throwing a fit with this modest monster! Issue for me being that my car is the size of a thumb tack, I needed Big Boom with little room, This Sub Hit The spot! HARD If your looking for some deep bass that will deliver in a small package, look no further, giving ample range this all in one has proved to be truly satisfactory. It delivers like any other loaded amped sub. I had my doubts reading all the other reviews... but you can trust me that you wont be disappointed if you hook up the sub correctly, nothing is going to burn up after you purchase the unit. Spent $150 for install with upgraded wires, hooking it up to my clarion equalizer with crunch amp and alpine type-R speakers, the people in cars next to me are rolling up there windows complaining and i am happy in these new good vibrations. Cant see anything to complain about just yet. If anything i'll update. But just wanted to write this to anyone out there who was like me a few days ago trying to shop for a decent subsonic sound without taking up all my trunk space... get it!

I had this subwoofer system recently installed in my vehicle to add a little more "low end" to the sound system, and I must say that I am thoroughly impressed. The existing stereo and the Basslink II compliment each other perfectly, and it does not take up much room in the car. I contemplated the option of spending alot of money replacing all of the components in the car, but I am leasing, and the stock speakers sound pretty good (plus did not want to mess with the head unit since it has navigation etc.). If you are looking for something to add a little more to your sound system and do not want to spend tons of money to do it, look no further! I am really happy with my choice!

The size and specs of this unit are DECEIVING! I was able to fit this behind the bench seat of my pickup (no cab)...yep it fit, and it sounds amazing in there. It sounds as though you have something much larger because of the amount of space it's enriching.

The product is great and I love it. It provides plenty of bass in my 2010 Honda Fit and sounds great. I'm no sound guru but it sounds good to me.

Recently purchased a Cadillac RSX which had a premium Bose system
installed. However, anyone that knows audio knows how much of an overpriced, underperformed speaker line like Bose is. Sure enough, the experience of listening to music in my vehicle was nothing short of bland. I sought to purchase a subwoofer. Needed something with a small footprint since I didn't have a lot of cargo space in my crossover vehicle. The Infinity Basslink and Basslink II were recommended to me by my trusted local installer. I spent hours upon hours scouring the Internet and reading every review out there about this subwoofer. I should have listened to the reviews. I should have listened. The failure rate on the Basslink models are pretty high. Go ahead and read reviews on Amazon and Crutchfield. Put BASSLINK into Google and read the reviews on the various car forums. People are experiencing failures within the first few hours to days to year. I should have listened to the reviews. I should have listened. I ordered the Basslink II from Amazon and had it installed. For the first few days, this thing rocked! It was the exact solution my vehicle needed. The sound system in my SRX went from a "6" to a "10." I was a happy camper! Two days later, the Basslink II began making a horrific rattling sound. Opened the cargo area to listen to inconsistent bass delivery overridden by rattling. This is exactly what the many reviews across the Internet warned. So, I am in the process of getting a refund from Amazon. I am going to order a Pioneer enclosed subwoofer with amp. I should have spent more money to get something of quality instead of this piece of garbage from Infinity. BTW, the Basslink II has been discontinued by the manufacturer. Wow! No surprise there. I read that Crutchfield had a wave of returns on this unit so perhaps that lead to the model being phased out. Do yourself a favor. Stay away from the Infintity Basslink line.

Really fills in sound system. Hits hard if you want too. Nice to have control at the turn of the remote knob.

Reading recent reviews, I was surprised to see people having issues. I bought mine a number of years ago (5 or 6), and absolutely love it!
Maybe things have changed with the newer ones, but I'll share my experience. It's built like a cinder block (and just as heavy). After auditioning a Bazooka brand tube sub, I read about the Basslink. Originally, I used the built in 4 channel amp (with Infinity Reference 6" two way component speakers front and back), but as I like to play music loud, I eventually bought a separate amp. The built in one isn't bad- 35 watts x four, but you need very efficient speakers and won't get it to rattle the outside mirrors like I do. I mostly like rock music, but I also listen to jazz, blues and acoustical. I find the bass reproduction very solid, tight and clean with most any type of music. About the only song that makes it distort at all is "Closer" by Nine Inch Nails (and that is turning up the volume big time). But even that sounds awesome (it pretty much rattles my entire truck)! It has also proved very durable- spending it's time in hot Arizona summers (interior car temps of 150 degrees plus) and cold Michigan winters. I paid about $225, and can't imagine a better sub deal for the price- especially if you utilize the built in amp. Hope this is helpful! |
