5.0 out of 5 stars Don't Let Them Fool You
Most people never bothered to listen to Deee-Lite's work following World Clique, yet they find it normal to label Deee-Lite as a one hit wonder. I say, forget about Groove is in the Heart and think of Deee-Lite as a no hit wonder and just enjoy their albums not giving a damn about what the critics said. Who cares about hits?

2.0 out of 5 stars Not so delightful
Deee Lite is a fun group and they make good party music. This album, though, is quite inferior to "World Clique" in my opinion. I was disappointed by it when I ought it nearly 15 years ago and I listened to it again after many years recently and still found it lacking, though can't say exactly why. If you like this group's sound (and I do) "World Clique" is simply a...

What you need to know about this album is that it contains messages on various social issues on quite a few of the tracks. The rest of the songs are about love. If you're okay with that, the music is great anyway.

If you listened to the World Clique album and you've wondered what Deee-Lite had to offer next, you'll definately love this album.

4.0 out of 5 stars Conscious, Inovative, and Good Sounds, October 22, 2004
This review is from: Infinity Within (Audio CD)
Like many Deee-Lite fans I fell in love with World Clique and jumped on the chance to buy Infinity Within in 1992. To this day I still enjoy listening to the majority of the songs including Runaway, Heart Be Still, and Two Clouds Above Nine.

Many do not remember the days of the CD long box package. Deee-Lite were one of the first bands to have an oddly designed, fold-out, and paper based cd case. For their socially and environmentally conscious fans it was an aesthetic bonus and an alternative to the wasteful paper packages where 2/3s of the packaging was empty space.

The album also features awesome guest musicians such as Bootsy Collins, Maceo Parker, and Catfish Collins.

5.0 out of 5 stars Must-have dance album, December 29, 2000
This review is from: Infinity Within (Audio CD)
My review will be a very short one. I just want you to know that this album is simply fantastic and that no dance enthusiast should be without it. Especially at this price and no, I have no connection with Amazon.com whatsoever.

5.0 out of 5 stars How do you say Deee-Lite???, September 2, 1999

I have been listening to this CD for about a year now. I find it thought provoking and stimulating. The music and beats brew with intensity and intelligence. One of my favorite tracks is "Two Clouds Above Nine" because who wouldn't want to be there. Its dance mixed up with ska/reggae. Over all I find myself and my son constantly getting up off the couch to "Move my back and move my belly". I have my son constantly requesting to hear Deee-Lite. As a musician I definately recommend this album if you have an intelligent ear and want to be musically tickled.

5.0 out of 5 stars Ahead of It's Time, August 11, 2004
This review is from: Infinity Within (Audio CD)
This is one of the best CD's of the 90's and 14 years after it's release the CD still sounds fresh. If you played cuts like "Rubber Lover" or "Thank You Everyday" they could still get the party started. Dee-Lite gets a little social on this album speaking out about the envirornment "I Had A Dream I Was Falling Through A Hole In The Ozone Layer." Guests on this album include Arrested Development. This is such a great CD, if you missed this one when it first came out pick it out now. It is still in constant rotation in my CD player.

"Infinity Within" seems to be the least liked of their three albums, but I actually play it the most. They did get a little preachy on this album, but the music is still there. Plus, I don't mind thinking once in a while. "Runaway" and "I Wont Give Up" are both excellent tracks, and I find it hard to believe they didn't make the "Best Of". The rest is all good, but the best song here also has the longest title, "I Had A Dream I Was Falling Through A Hole In The Ozone Layer". And as intended, all their albums will leave you with one overall feeling, that "Love Is Everything".

5.0 out of 5 stars This has to be the coolest CD I have ever owned., May 26, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Infinity Within (Audio CD)
I came upon this CD by mistake, but it was one of the best ones that I have ever made. When I pushed play I was blown away by the powerful yet thought-provoking lyrics. They have serious songs, and songs with a lighter side to them as well. Overall I thought it was an awesome CD and wouldn't give it up for the world.

Ignore the critic BS--this is a great disc. The beats, the melodies, the session players, it's strong across the board.
