We bought Rody for our granddaughter for Christmas when she was two. Nearly every day she's been on it. At first, it was just fun to bounce around. Now, she puts on a hat and carries a purse and "goes to town for groceries," etc. Our older granddaughter who is now nine has even bounced around on it with no ill effects to the toy. I'm going to hate to see him go, but she is four and it's getting a little too short for her longer legs. Guess we'll have to buy a hoparoo or some such to replace it. We'll save this one, not sell it! Really worth the money. Vickie

I bought this for my daughter who at the time was around 9 months. A friend had one and she loved it so I got one for her. It is really a great toy that will grow with her. Though you want to supervise at a young age it has helped with my daughters balance. She loves the thing and it has become the hobby horse/hopity hop of new. She even pets it and kisses it.

Blowing it up could pose a problem if you don't have an air compressor. You still can do it with a hand pump but a compressor works best with the rubber tip. The package says it will hold up to 400 lbs too. I have no idea how a 400 lbs person would get on the thing but I pay money to see that!

My daughter loves the Rody. She is only 16 months, but likes to play with this toy. I shopped all over the internet for this and was about to buy from Amazon, but found it elsewhere for half the price. [...] had them for so cheap that I bought two (one to save as a gift or spare). Awesome, fun toy for toddlers/preschoolers, but look elsewhere for value.

We bought this for our 19 month-old daughter for Christmas this year. She loves to bounce, so I specifically looked for a toy that would allow her to bounce like the wild thing that she is. Rody is perfect!! We bought the base that allows her to use it as a rocking toy as well. She can still bounce on it with the rocker attached, so she gets twice as much fun out of one toy. I read in other reviews about Rody tipping over when not using the rocker - she only used it without the rocker for a few minutes and did tip over, but that was part of the fun for her. We put the rocker on to see what it was like and ended up just leaving it on since she can still bounce on it with the rocker attached. Note - you have to add/remove the rocker while Rody is deflated. Rody is made out of a super-thick rubber material, so it appears to be very durable. The rocking base (sold separately) is very sturdy too. This is already one of her favorite Christmas toys!! I love seeing how much fun she has playing with Rody - very satisfying purchase!

This was a great toy. My son loves it and he is only one years old. We bought the rocking base at it has been a lot of fun. I would recommend the rocking base for little ones.

The saddle height of this Rody is less than 10 inches. The description states that it inflates to a 12 inch saddle height, which I believe is the larger Rody; the one we wanted. It also is made of #3 plastic for those of you concerned about the dangerous plastics that are being used in our children's toys. They do state that they use no banned phthalates chemicals. I guess #3 is not banned however I've read to only have "4,5, 1, & 2 all the rest are bad for you". Your choice just thought I would let you know. My kids love the Rody at their play group and it is very sturdy...too bad it didn't work out, I was really excited about this toy... :(

I purchased a lime Green Rody Horse for my Grandsons Birthday and I orderd it on a Sunday
and got free shipping, but was not to be shipped until 5 - 8 days, I received it in 2 days,
talk about impressed, I was! Not to mention I have never seen a Rody Horse before except online
so I really didnt know what to expect,when I opened the box and took it out and aired it up I
literally fell in love with this Lime Green Horse it is beautiful!
I simply can not wait to give it to my Grandson just to see the look on his face!

This horse toy is great for little kids! It's rather amusing looking too. My nephew has one of these and he absolutely adores it! It gives him some exercise. This rody horse is supposed to improve balance, not sure how well it works but the kid is way less clumsy than the rest of the family! It's a fun alternative to the traditional rocking horse.

This horse is way better than a regular rocking horse! Plus, adults can ride on it too. It may be a little small but it holds up to 400 lbs.! Our son loves it!

I bought two of these for my kids for Christmas. I absolutely love them butt my husband had quite a different feeling after having to inflate them. The valve is placed in its rear so blowing it up with your mouth (though do able) was not enjoy able. My 2yr old plays with it more than my 4yr old but I just love looking at them they are so cute and I wish I had one for me. Overall I wish they got more use and the valve was in a different location but other than that they are sturdy and cute....is that enough to make them worth the price?
