A Highly Valuable Career Resource for Librarians and Other Info Pros,

This review is from: The Information Professional's Guide to Career Development Online (Paperback)
Although this book was written long before online career development strategies were becoming mainstream, Rachel Singer Gordon not only managed to anticipate many of the trends that are today expected practice, she also provided a timeless, solid approach to methodically building one's career using online platforms as a means, rather than the end. Whenever I am asked to identify the top ten books on career-building and job-hunting for library and information science students and professionals, Gordon's book is among them. Provides a firm foundation on which to build other, more tool-specific (e.g., Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook, etc.) strategies.
