This is the book for the serious researcher of Herbal Medicine. You will NOT find indications, active constituents, dosages or actions on any herbs here. What you will find, is where to look in libraries or on-line, and some great LISTS of books, journals, associations, software etc which may contain the information you are looking for. I must say, it has a fantastic "Glossary of Herbal, Medical, Pharmacological and Pharmacy Terms". Just remember that this is a research guide - not a herbal.

Being a student of herbalism, I don't know where I would be without my "Information Sourcebook of Herbal Medicine" You will find out how & where Hoffmann gets all of his information on those wonderful herbs by using this resource book. A great book to have if you at a loss on where to find information on herbs at the library or on the net. This book details the journals, associations, websites, dewey decimal system relating to herbs and associated topics, which CD ROM programs to purchase amongst other great lists of sources of information on herbs. This is not a herbal, and as such, does not give indications, active constituents, dosages etc. It is an information directory to help show you where to find the information you are looking for. An absolute "must-have" for those who research herbs.
