Disappointed,
This review is from: Information Systems for Healthcare Management, Sixth Edition (Hardcover)
I paid $97.00 for this newly released book. Pages 23-54 are missing and I have little time to deal with a complaint and return process. In skimming the book, it gives a basic intro, overview of computer hardware/software, data management; applications, project management, and future directions. This information is available in less expensive textbooks.

This review is from: Information Systems for Healthcare Management, Sixth Edition (Hardcover)
I am currently an IT analyst in a Health Care setting and an avid reader. I decided to start readig about Healthcare IT topics and since I cannot afford to pay for grad school I figured atleast I could start learning on my own. Hence, I bought this book used for about $25, I don't think it is worth more than that. It gives the reader a basic foundation of HCIS's (Health Care Information Systems), the key points to evaluating them, implementing them, etc. It is a little outdated but that was to be expected. This book isn't going to blow your mind or drastically enhance your knowledge but it will help you feel more confident reading heavier Healthcare IT books, etc, moving forward. Again, its not worth more than $20-$25.

The product was a little more dinged up than described, but still fit into the category listed. Shipping was fast despite only using regular shipping. I got the book in less than a week! The seller's communications were excellent letting me know when shipping occurred, confirming purchase, etc. I would highly recommend seller.
