toenut is one of those group that when you put them in your cd player make you - happy. i gave them to some of my friends, but they said that i am "sick" when i'm listen to that kind of music. guess, they don't understand it (i know that everything is fine with me). anyway, toenut are playing some funny-psychodelic music, and they enjoy it. they look like real band that play music they like, without compromises (and they are very good at it). even i gave them 5 stars, "information" is more 4,5 stars album (to be exact).
conclusion: if you want something different in your headphones, try with toenut... (its worth of risk)

devoesque percussive explosions... these are only a few words to describe the insanity that is Toenut. A few more would be:

* paranoiac samples from the psychedelic 60's British television spy show "the Prisoner"

* progressive songwriting.. the most mild of introductions lures the listener into what becomes thrashing conclusions

* Katie's sweet, high-pitched calls mutate into tortured screams

Information is the first release from Atlanta, Georgia's much-underrated Toenut. This is definitely rock music, but brimming with possibility -- the raw, uncaged feel of the production inspires.. think the feel of the Smashing Pumpkins' Gish in comparison with its more realized followup, Siamese Dream. An excellent album for those who love maddeningly infectious rock music with a tendency towards anthemic pop jubilee..
