What this book does extremely well is to show the computational
problems underlying concrete examples in military and organizational decision-making. The information warfare perspective is also interesting because decision-making "bugs" are shown as ultimately the main cause of failure and defeat. This book has several descriptive chapters on organization and decision-making as well as theoretical ones (e.g., social network theory, control theory, behavioral psychology) and suggestions on possible implementations for decision support systems in the information age. |
