I purchased this item as a Christmas gift for 3 of my grandsons, ages 8 thru 11. They loved them. Even more amazing, my husband and my stepson loved them as well. None of them could stop playing with them. My husband charged them up the night before so that they would be ready to fly the next morning. Well he had to recharge them because he kept flying them. He said he wanted to make sure they worked. I understood that but it took him a long time to realized that they worked properly, smile. The next day, my stepson was showing his sons how to fly them and he would hardly let them go. The boys got bikes as well. My husband and I felt that it was good that they had something they could play with in and outside. They played with the flying saucer so much that the bikes didn't interest them at first. Later in the day, they rode their bikes. When they did, my stepson started playing with the flying saucers. All day he kept saying, "you should have got me one of these". So in my opinion, this was "a great gift".

My 7 yo is having fun. It only goes up and down, but can fly across the room if you hold it up in an angle when it takes off. 2 flashing light settings are cool in the dark. Small rotor balance piece broke off 2nd day of use, and the bottom stand on the 3rd day (though we figured out that it can be snapped back into place. This is small, so are the parts, so be careful with it! Oh, and don't let it fly out of range or it'll keep going. Don't even think about flying it outdoors!

Bought 2 of these - They last about 10 min on a charge but after the 3rd charge they quit taking a charge. If you buy two beware, one remote will control both of them and is impossible to do. Both are in the garbage now - Waste of money - Too bad because when they are flying its fun stuff.
