Impact sockets need to be more tough and resilient than regular sockets and these fill that requirement. What sets these apart from most impact sockets is their beautiful finish and precision machining.

It is a nice product for the price. The best deal on impact socket set. Everywhere in the stores and even on internet stores this set goes for 250$ and up, at amazon I got for under 200$ plus free shipping. Numbers are easy to read on sockets, nice caring case. I am happy with my purchase.

It is what it is. A large set of impact sockets, reasonably priced, and made by a very reputable manufacturer.

I can just grab the case and know I have all the sockets I will need - SAE or METRIC. Short or Long. If a hole is blank, I know one is missing. Granted the case is a bit big. But everything is there and has its place. May not be feasible at the daily workbench, but if you need to move around - home, then work, job site, then they are all there. Use with hand ratchet or impact. Unless I need a thin wall socket for clearance, I usually don't bother to grab my Snap-on's anymore. Have had these for about 2 years I think it is now. Case has held up well so far. Course, you don't want to throw it around, or the hinges may fail. So, the case is decent. Sockets are staying locked in their pockets just fine. Hope this is helpful...

Great set for the price. Only reason it gets 4 in stead of 5, is it doesn't have a 18mm for all the metric sets, and it would be nice to have extensions in the set. Other than that, it should fit most needs, especially for the average user.

As a home mechanic, you could easily get buy with just this socket set alone (with a couple of extensions)! Excellent value for what you get...

Just used this set for a front end LCA bushing and bearing job. (My cheap generic china made junk sockets are beginning to accumulate dust...)

Paired this up with the lowe's ingersol rand 1/2 impact and 3/8 air ratchet combo deal.

Another review mentioned smaller sizes in 3/8? The 1/2 drive goes all the way down to 10mm or 7/16, which is probably the smallest you should be ripping off with a 1/2 impact?

Case isn't bad either, kind of felt bad ripping the sockets out and throwing in toolbox. :)

This set is a great impact socket set. These are heavy duty sockets. They do not feel cheap in the slightest bit. Sockets are clear and easy to read. The case is an added bonus. Get this set you won't regret it.

This is an excellent set of impact sockets. They are machined and finished nice - Originally I thought the finish might wear off preventing me from reading the size (Sizes are not engraved in the sides), but that hasn't been an issue over the last several years I've had them. Overall, It was a great deal and would buy them again.

i work at an International truck dealership and bought this set mainly because of the price. The sockets are very well marked and the carry case is very nice....However you must be warned that it isnt a complete set of impact sockets in the ranges advertised. the main sizes missing are 18mm deep and shallow 3/8ths drive sockets (18mm sockets are included in the 1/2 drive set) and one or two sizes in the 20mm and up range, no 1" 3/8 drive and no sockets below 9mm or 5/16. The only sizes that i ever use that are missing is the 3/8 drive 18mm so i will likely end up getting individual ones of those. All in all still a great deal but dont expect to have every slot on your socket trays filled.

Okay, these aren't cheap, but then again, they're not CHEAP.

There isn't too much to say about an impact socket set except that they don't break. To that I can add a couple of short comments, like, these sockets all have the size laser-etched into the side in large numbers to make it easy to get the right one.

The sockets are absolutely beautiful. It's a shame to put them onto a tool and set them on the concrete garage floor to get all scratched up. Oh, well.

I priced a number of individual sets in 3/8" and 1/2" drive sizes, metric and inch units, and standard and deep styles. Buying this whole set saved me some money over the cost of buying individual sets.

Individual sets would have had smaller, lighter cases instead of this big, heavy one. With the big, heavy case, however, I have all the sockets with me all the time.

I agree with the review by Jeremy Brossia from 29 November 2010 where he said that the 18mm socket is missing. I have already needed that socket and I'm not a professional mechanic.

I'm with Jeremy; this set gets four stars instead of five because of the missing 18mm size.
