This is a big set which looks to be very well made. The size markings are easy to read, which is a big plus as my eyes age. Comes in a nice, if bulky, plastic case.

These sockets are first class. I'm very happy with the craftsmanship and very happy I bought them.

This set is very impressive ! The case is a bit larger than it needs to be. Storage could be a problem with such a large case but with the case and the etching , overall its very nice set.Its not my everyday set so I keep it stored until I need the artillery !!I have both sets Metric and SAE so storing can take a lot of space to store them both.

What can i say, i am a sucker for shiny objects! These have not only made my garage look nicer but have taken some serious abuse. IR makes good stuff as far as I can tell. I am not a pro, just a DIY'er, but I beat on these pretty hard rebuilding suspension and drive train on my car.

Would definitely recommend.

This was on my hubby's wish list, he loved the large numbers on the side, easy to read and find. Good quality tools for a great price.

Just like other Ingersoll-Rand products, these sockets are great quality and at an amazing price. I really like that the sizes are clearly marked. They have exceeded my expectations so far.

[NO STARS ARE DEDUCTED FOR THIS. As Michael A. Simons pointed out in comment to my review this is how all impact sockets are made. Nevertheless I feel I should leave it in my review for someone who is not a professional mechanic] However, they are a bit unusual as far as fitting them on the ratchet. My other sockets have material removed on all 4 sides inside the opening, so no matter how you put them on the ratchet the spring-loaded ball on the ratchet will "click" into the groove. These don't have any groove removed. Instead there is a hole drilled through one side only. So unless you align this socket side with the ratchet ball socket will not be attached securely.

Also case is much larger than it needs to be.

I love these sockets. They are durable, easy to read, and they are well made. This is a great set that has more pieces than most offered for this price. The only thing i would change about these sockets would be the print of the sizes. After a long period of use the black coating on the sockets will wear as will the print of the socket size. They will become partially unreadable depending on use and wear of the face of the socket. On the other side, i know which sockets i use and when i go to grab them from the socket rail i can easily pick out my common sizes due to the missing paint :D

Bottom line... they are tough sockets of great quality. The sockets are beautiful when purchased but mar easily.

The case they come in is fantastic. Incredible quality and value. I can NOT believe these were only around $30! Any other company you will have to pay around $60 minimum for a set like this, and Ingersoll Rand has been in this business for years!

As with the metric sockets from ingersoll rand, the case is strong, the letters are easy to read, and the sockets themselves are unbreakable. You can't go wrong.
