Love this chair so much I am buying another one!,

I really love this chair. I have 16- month old twins, and this is the second chair I have bought. The first table chair is a Phil & Ted Me Too, and the Inglesina is absolutely superior in ever way. Comparing the two I have found:-- The Phil&Ted is not nearly as comfortable for the child. There is virtually no padding, and the nylon seat is held up by a frame of hard metal bars. So the child has only a hard bar to lean against and a hard metal bar between their chest and the table. The Inglesina has a well-padded (removable!) seat and and high, padded back for the child to lean against. The sides are padded as well, and there is no hard bar in front, only the clip for the safety straps. -- The Phil & Ted's safety straps are useless. They are an odd design that doesn't allow you to securely strap the child in, and they tend to fall down the child shoulders, rendering them unable to raise their arms. By contrast, the Inglesina has a nice thick, easy to use strap and click buckle that holds the child securely but comfortably. -- Most astonishingly, the Phil&Ted cannot be disassembled so there is no way to clean it properly. Who on earth makes a toddler high chair that can't be laundered?? I've tried spot cleaning it, but because of the gathers in the fabric, its almost impossible to clean it well. I hate it; its a bacteria laden mess at this point. By contrast, the Inglesina is easy..you just click off the arms and remove the seat, which is machine-washable. You don't even have to unclamp the arms from the table. Wonderful! I just ordered another Inglesina and as soon as I get it, the Phil& Ted is going in the trash. It wasn't inexpensive either, so I am really disgusted. Get the Inglesina, you won't regret it!

Not as useful as I'd thought it would be, buy a Fisher Price booster instead,
By Busy Mommy (Central PA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Inglesina 2010 Fast Table Chair (Baby Product)
After reading reviews, I purchased this chair to use for travel and wanted to share my experience for other parents like me who read a gazillion reviews and agonize over whether they are making the right baby-product choice. I will say that it is well-designed, sturdy, well padded, with high-quality fabric, and a clever attached carry bag. However, after about 5 uses, I purchased a Fisher Price Healthy Care booster seat (at less than half the cost of the Fast Chair) and am going to sell the Fast Chair and hope I can recoup some of the cost. These are the reasons the Fast Chair did not work for us: it doesn't work on tables with a skirt, on pedestal tables, or on glass tables. That rules out the vast majority of restaurant tables, many of which have a central pedestal. It rules out our glass table on our back patio, and many other tables we've wanted to use it on. You also can't use it over a tablecloth, so in a restaurant with a cloth you have to fold it back to hook on the chair and it gets awkward, especially when your little angel tries to grab a handful of the cloth and yank the whole thing off the table. I also underestimated the usefulness of a tray in containing a self-feeder's mess. My almost 16-month-old has insisted on feeding herself for several months now and when she eats there is food EVERYWHERE. All over the Fast Chair's fabric, and stuck along the edges of the rubber arms. With the Fisher Price booster, the little tray contains her mess and keeps it off the table. Also, the plastic of the Fisher Price chair just wipes clean, much easier than trying to pry dried mashed banana, etc, out of the Fast Chair's fabric folds. I find set-up for the Fisher Price chair is quicker than for the Fast Chair, and it folds up for travel and even has an over-the-shoulder carry strap, and weighs about the same as the Fast Chair (they are both very light). We took the Fisher Price booster on a trip recently and used it on all sorts of chairs and didn't encounter one it wouldn't fit. When she's ready to stop flinging her food everywhere, I can use the Fisher Price chair as without the tray and pull her right up to the table. Finally, my little girl seems to LOVE the Fisher Price booster, I set it down on the floor recently when we came back from a trip and she climbed right in a sat down and wanted her dinner right than and there!

This is a great chair! We leave it hooked to our counter island in the kitchen where the rest of the family likes to gather. It is neutral, so it looks nice. It's also very stable, easy to wipe clean, and our 1 yr old seems comfortable and does not try to climb out of it. I like the buckles-easy for us to manage quickly but still too difficult for children to open. Buckles also are covered with a flap of fabric that snaps over them so they stay clean and out of the toddler's sight. The seat has a firm bottom so children don't "sink" into it like a camp chair (like some other models). Our daughter sits up to the table with a Svan chair for our other meals (also highly recommended). This "Fast" chair is very portable and we took it to a relatives' house for Thanksgiving. I haven't taken it to restaurants because I fear their tables may not be counter-balanced or stable enough to hold 20+ lbs on one edge. We don't use the back pocket, but maybe if we traveled with it more we would. This was worth every penny-it's just what we needed!

Better than Phil and Ted,
By BeantownGirl (Cambridge, MA United States) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Inglesina 2010 Fast Table Chair, Marina (Baby Product)
I purchased a Phil & Ted Me Too chair and returned it for this one. This chair is far superior to Phil & Ted's. Here are my list of comparisons.1) Comfort: Fast Chair has way more padding, a higher and softer back, and no metal bars in funny places (Phil&Ted Me Too has a bar in the back (without any padding) and between the child and the table creating a large gap for food to fall right to the floor. My dog loves this, but I don't. 2) Safety: The harness straps on the Phil&Ted Me Too fall right off the shoulders. I read this on other's reviews as well so it's not just my kid. 3) Design: Fast Chair has removable fabric so you can wash it thoroughly - Me Too doesn't. Also, there's a handy pocket on the back of the seat to store essentials. Totally convenient. 4) Clamp span: The fast chair has an almost 4" clamp span which fit easily over my table skirt. The Me Too span is only about 3inches. Why don't the manufacturers put this information right in their product description? 5)Travel: The Phil&Ted is by far a skinnier chair (remember, no padding). However, it doesn't come with a travel bag- really? Isn't that the big selling point? The Fast Chair comes with a BUILT IN travel bag that tucks away under the seat. I will never lose this bag. yes! I think a majority of people who reviewed the Phil&Ted chair with high marks like the idea of a hook on chair. Me too! (haha pun intended). However, their chair is just not good on several levels. I returned it and purchased the Inglesina Fast Chair for the same price! It's great - bigger clamp clearance, more padding, removable fabric for easy cleaning, BUILT IN carry bag, the design has a high, padded back rest for more support (and safety) and no annoying metal bar keeping my child away from the table. LOVE IT! Go for this one first. Skip all the hype on the other one.

Best highchair ever!,
By ladydarling (Athens Georgia) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Inglesina 2010 Fast Table Chair, Fiamma (Baby Product)
I just received this highchair in the mail today and installed it by myself in a matter of seconds! After trying to jiggle the chair around I found that it wouldn't budge for anything! My husband and I live in a small condo so we didn't want a bulky highchair to take up the little room that we have. Also, all those other bulky highchairs are over a hundred dollars for a heap of cheap plastic! This Inglesina model is made of sturdy metal, and the cover is a thick canvas material. This chair is definitely worth the money! We bought it for our 5 month old who still can't sit up all the way on his own, yet he did great in the chair! It is SO nice that he is eye level at the table with us. I am also a huge researcher. I don't buy anything without properly researching the item first. This chair is definitely a winner!

Great product, wrong color!,

This review is from: Inglesina 2010 Fast Table Chair, Fiamma (Baby Product)
Ordered this chair in "Fiamma," (red) received "Marina" (dark blue)...and doublechecked my original order to be sure I had ordered Fiamma. I actually prefer the Marina and didn't order it originally because it was a higher price, so all worked out in my favor. However if you are set on a certain color, be prepared to communicate with Amazon! First time I've ever received an incorrect product after many orders with them.As for the chair quality-we already have one that is 3 years old and has seen hard use. It is still holding up great but we now have 2 kids and our oldest daughter has proven too wiggly for regular dining chairs. My sister had one that is now over 10 years old and has been through 4+ kids! Chair itself is excellent quality, comfortable and easy to use. The only flaws are fabric and the twist-on legs: First, the fabric isn't easily wipeable. The cover is fairly easy to remove but still takes effort-however it's very sturdy and holds up in a washer and dryer on regular cycles. I wash it every couple of weeks though it should be done every few days with our 10 month old. A soapy rag does the trick in between the big washings. I haven't heard of any other chair that is as sturdy as Inglesina. Second: the twist-on part of the legs (the black underpart you see in the pictures) is not as easy to grip as their prior design, which was easier to twist on and off a table. However the pro of the newer design is that a kid can't get under the highchair and loosen it as my kid would happily do if she got the chance! Overall-4 stars. A great value for the quality you receive with this product.

The chair is built very well. It's a high quality product. If any improvements could be made at all, it would be to make the strap bigger so it's easier to clip the baby in and the other thing is some tables have a bottom lip that are too big. In other words, you can't unscrew the handles enough to fit it under the table. But overall it's so good we ditched our high chair and also we took it with us to Roatan Honduras and used it everywhere. It was very convienant and easy to pack.2 thumbs way up.

Love this chair!,
This review is from: Inglesina 2010 Fast Table Chair, Ecru (Baby Product)
We live in a small condo downtown Chicago and bought this chair in place of the typical highchair. Best decision we ever made! It is fantastic, washable, and perfect to take along to restaurants or other people's homes. We used this in place of the restaurant highchair for a while because our son fit better in this one (he is on the smaller end). LOVE LOVE and recommend 120%!

I love the quality of the item, but its poor design limits its versatility. You can't use it on anything that has a lip, which is almost everything (I think the only place you can use it with a bar-style kitchen counter). Bummer.

My little 12-month-old is always under foot in the kitchen and wants to see what is going on. This can be dangerous for us both and sad for him because I can't always drop what I'm doing and hold him. So I hook this chair right on the island countertop where we usually have our bar stools. He loves sitting in it watching me and talking and eating his snack. The only draw back is that the chair doesn't clean up as well as his booster with the tray (which is where I prefer to have him eat his meals). I love this chair so much I'm buying another one for a friend for her baby shower.
