I am a serial stroller researcher/shopper and fully admit to spending too much time looking at these things online. I ordered the Avio in light blue, sight unseen, based on its features, and purchasing it was definitely the right choice!

For me, the "dealbreakers" for a stroller are: ease of fold, folded size, weight, recline, canopy, push, and handle height. The Avio met my criteria for all of these! The fold is one of the easiest out there once you've done it a few times -- if it doesn't get super easy/natural by the 10th time or so, it might be user error in putting it together or something. The fold is on par with the Baby Jogger City Mini: literally pushing a button and pulling up firmly on a handle to collapse the stroller into a nice, fairly compact standing package. I like that it locks automatically and the seat folds inward as well as in half, umbrella-style. The weight is not bad for a stroller with so many features; it's not going to be as light as a bare-bones umbrella stroller, but it's easy to lift and put into a car. The recline is great -- a lever recline vs. tugging on straps, and it goes pretty much flat for baby to nap. Canopy is huge, quiet, has a popout visor and a peek-a-boo window in back, and the push is excellent due to the ball bearings. The front wheels have the ability to lock straight (and arrive locked), but will turn on a dime when released; this stroller is pretty thin and has a tight turning radius. The handle height was the only thing concerning me: I'm a super petite mom so sometimes a non-adjustable handle isn't good, and this one seemed pretty high up in others' reviews. However, it feels just fine to me at 5'0". Love this stroller!!

The Inglesina Avio Stroller is touted as 'the perfect stroller for on the go urbanites'. Translation - this stroller is best for strolling on sidewalks and smooth developed indoor or paved outdoor surfaces.

Handling: What I have discovered is that the Inglesina Avio stroller is different than allot of less-expensive non-jogging strollers in that it's wheels actually have ball bearings. This gives the stroller the ability to roll very smoothly with hardly any vibration within the stroller seat, with minimal pushing. The wheels are fixed in position, so the turn radius is not that sharp - it will make a smooth turn however, within a 5 foot radius.

Standing at 5'5", I am very conscience of handle placement. The Avio stroller's handle is in a position comfortable enough to hold, but I really wished the handle had an adjustment option.

My husband however is nearly 6 foot tall and said "This stroller is perfect for dads who are 5'11" - 6'2", very smooth ride and will put the toddler to sleep on a rough night within 10 minutes". He experimented with the Avio while taking the evening walk when our son was over-tired and fighting sleep.

Stowability: Let me say that I have owned at-least 5 strollers between the years 2003-2011, starting with my first child. 4 out of 5 had the capability to be folded for stowing. The latest being a Jeep Overland Limited Music on the Move Jogging Stroller.

Of all the strollers I have owned, though, the Inglesina Avio Stroller is able to fold into the most space saving compact shape of all (I am not including those cheap umbrella strollers, that are a dime-a-dozen, in this category.).

I've been using the bassinet & stroller seat with my baby thus far and REALLY like it--she's almost 3 months old and over 11 pounds. I had a list of criteria and this stroller met most. I was down to the Bugaboo (2 piece fold is not practical for me + too heavy), and the Uppababy Vista (wheelbase was too wide--I like to go everywhere with my baby & heavier than the Avio).

PROS:
-a one piece fold (so no removing the seat but obviously need to remove bassinet),
-simple fold (click and pull!), folds upright (not touching floor which is critical to me in NYC!),
-bassinet availability,
- very good recline & sun canopy,
-one piece handle for easy maneuvering on NYC streets (turns on a dime!),
-narrow wheelbase (19.5" vs 26" for the Vista I think), good for 5'1" mom and 6'0" dad (although he sometimes kicks the bottom if he doesn't stand far enough).
-Sleek look

CONS:
-the handle height is not adjustable. The handle height turned out not to be an issue but it would be a plus.
-seat does not turn to face me :( since my daughter is so curious it may not be an issue, it's more that I want to interact with her while we're walking. This is definitely an improvement I would look forward to. If the seat turned to face me, I would give this stroller 5 stars!

Overall I have been using this stroller every day for almost 3 months and would buy it again!

Very, very happy with this stroller. We had a Zippy that we were extremely happy with for over four years, but it didn't seem likely to hold up to the rigors of another four with our second baby. This improves on the Zippy in a few areas...a bit narrower, slightly lighter, better canopy, wheels on smooth bearings, slightly easier access to the storage compartment underneath, and (most importantly) one handed pushing from a joined handle. That alone is worth the price of admission. Like the Zippy, it's well made and folds really easily.

It's been working out really well so far with our Graco infant seat (separate adapter needed) as well as the regular seat for our eldest, on occasion. The bearinged wheels make for a really smooth ride and effortless pushing. I can't say enough about the single handle. Plus it looks really nice.

Our only quibbles are: 1) no snack tray available (unrepentantly lame) 2) the cupholder placement isn't as convenient as it was on the Zippy 3) the linked handle means there's no place to hang the diaper bag or the shopping. We bought a stroller hook, but there's not really any place for that to rest on, so it's a little awkward 4) the single wheels are smaller than the Zippy, which means that they're sometimes prone to getting caught on bumps in the road. It's something we mostly got used to, so a little extra vigilance is required to avoid bumps, but it still leads to the odd surprise jolt to the baby (not awesome) and very occasionally a dead stop.

On balance, though, it's a fantastic piece of kit.
