2.0 out of 5 stars Nice looking, but has a number of major flaws., August 1, 2005
This review is from: Inglesina Espresso Stroller Pattern: Sky Blue (Baby Product)
As a NYC Mom, I bought this stroller (after doing extensive research) because it was relatively lightweight, had a large basket, one-hand fold, single handle (good for steering with one hand), relatively narrow frame (for getting through aisles in stores) plush padding, and attractive looks. I was aware that the canopy was short, but planned to attach my Protect-A-Bub sunshield.

The stroller is nice looking, but has a number of major flaws.

PROS: Huge basket (easily accessible), nice looking, plush padding, one hand fold, one handlebar (facilitates one-hand steering).

CONS:
- First, it does not allow the baby to sit upright. Even in the most upright positon, it is reclined! My 17-month-old HATES it - he keeps slumping down, and has to struggle to bend forwards at his waist and hang over the front bar which looks very uncomfortable. In this position, he is not even touching the back of the seat, so the padding there is a waste.
- Too heavy (and big) to use on the bus or subway. I was excited because of the one-hand fold, but it is useless to me since I couldn't possibly get this through a turnstile or a narrow bus aisle.
- Tiring to push. Although the shocks are reasonably good, I find that my hands get tired when I push this for a distance. I never had this problem with my Kolcraft/carseat or my Graco Citilite.
- The canopy is SO SMALL (and the seat is at such a strange angle) that (even with a Protect-a-Bub sunshade over the built-in canopy) - my toddler's legs are exposed to the sun. The only way to cover his legs would be to completely cover his entire body with the Protect-a-Bub!

I regret my decision to purchase this stroller, and wish that I could return mine! :(

2.0 out of 5 stars Not what I expected, June 27, 2005

I received this item for my baby shower after reading the wonderful reviews it had received. It's beautiful to look at but a few important features were left out.
There is no leg support, if your child wants to lay down for a nap, his little legs will have to dangle down.
The way that the stroller reclines is by a cord, you need two hands to make the seat go into an upright position.
It's not as lite as I thought it would be. It's definetly lighter than a Graco but its still heavier than comparable strollers.

I have a Zooper stroller from my son who is now four. I have already replaced the seat and will just call to have the new tires sent. The zooper comes with a full leg cover and rain cover. The only thing I don't like about my 2001 Zooper is that the basket is so small, but I believe the newer models have easier access and bigger baskets. Its also lighter and folds smaller than the Inglesina.

3.0 out of 5 stars Nice little stroller, September 11, 2008
This review is from: Inglesina Espresso Stroller Pattern: Sky Blue (Baby Product)
I bought this stroller as a second stroller for my twins (it's nice to have a single stroller even with twins) and liked how this one worked out. It is very nice looking with plush material and modern design and the reclining position worked great with my 10 pound baby and was very comfortable for her and she fell right to sleep. It is easy to steer with one hand and folded down easily. The only reason I didn't give it more stars is because I think it's a little over priced because it's very light, to the point of not feeling substantial but we'll see how well it holds up with more wear and tear.
