5.0 out of 5 stars Delicious and EASY!!!, May 18, 2009
This review is from: The 5 Ingredient Club: How to Cook Everything in Five Ingredients or Less (Paperback)
I am a wife and a mother-to-be who also has a full-time job, and while cooking is one of my favorite things to do, I think that the most difficult thing is finding the energy to just even think of something to make for dinner that is quick, inexpensive, and homemade. Lauren McDuffie's cookbook does the thinking for you. All of the recipes are simple, yet creative, and with almost 200 recipes at your fingertips, you can find something for almost any occassion. While I still have to make my way through many more recipes, I can definitely say that "The Best Green Beans Ever" really are THE BEST Green Beans ever. And I can't wait to try the "Pineapple Upside-Down French Toast"! As I flip through each recipe, I keep thinking to myself: "Now, why didn't I think of that???" Join the Five Ingredient Club! I'm in the club!
I love the fact that many of these recipes can be made with ingredients you would have at home already.
There is a great mix of fresh and modern alongside more traditional comfort foods. DELICIOUS!

This will definitely become my go-to cookbook for those nights when I need to cook but just don't feel like. Easy ingredients, simple instructions...what more can you ask for? I love to cook and am not adverse to trying a new recipe with a lengthy ingredient list and even lengthier instructions. But after working a full day, that's not anything I am up for. I went through the 5 Ingredient Club to note recipes I want to try. Almost everyone is on the list! I don't think you can go wrong with this little cookbook.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fast and Tasty, September 7, 2009
This review is from: The 5 Ingredient Club: How to Cook Everything in Five Ingredients or Less (Paperback)
I am a graduate student with limited time for cooking after a long day of work. This cookbook was recommended to me by a friend and it has helped me do more cooking. It is very easy to find a quick and simple recipe for a main dish, appetizer, dessert, or side dish. McDuffie has put together a lot of different ingredients to make some very tasty meals. I am in the club!

5.0 out of 5 stars Easy Cooking with Unique Ingredients, September 4, 2009
This review is from: The 5 Ingredient Club: How to Cook Everything in Five Ingredients or Less (Paperback)
This cookbook hits the spot! The recipes are short, fast, and they combine ingredients that I wouldn't have thought of. If you are looking for a cookbook that has different recipes, not found anywhere else, this is it! I've made some of the recipes for friends and family and they all wanted to know what was in each dish. For example, Cheesy Garlic Pretzel Chicken, Spaghetti Cake, Mediterranean Stuffed Tomatoes, and Root Beer-Braised Short Ribs to name a few of the approximately 200 recipes!
