A great book about a great actress.
RHF. Hollywood fan
Nevertheless, the presented material is beautiful and a well-deserved homage to one of the greatest actresses of the 20th century and I recommend it.
Daniel Hendler
Aside from those things the book is excellent and Iam really enjoying it--the narration as well as the photos.

What a huge book, and a lavish photo journey through Ingrid Bergman's career and personal life. The quality of paper and the printing is excellent, and evidently great care was put to make this release as comprehensive as reasonably possible. Lots and lots of photos not released anywhere else - I was particularly happy to see so many pictures from her childhood. What a young actress she seems to have been already as a toddler!

So many of the plates would be suitable for framing. If this book ever becomes more affordable, I might get another copy just for that purpose.

Also includes warm introduction by Liv Ullman, and a full interview she did with John Kobal.

Can't recommend this enough! There are many photo books on this beautiful and legendary actress out there, but I sincerely think this is the definitive one, and definitely one that she deserves. Thank You, Isabella Rossellini, for making this happen!

I really enjoyed the book. However there were a few things I was puzzled about. For one thing, in her forward, Liv Ullman writes about Ingrid being separated from her "baby daughter." She was referring to what happened to Ingrid in 1949. At that time, Pia lindstrom was ten years old--hardly a baby.
Another part was the chronology of Ingrid's life. In the part which covered her early years in Hollywood. It reads "affairs with directors and co-stars."
What evidence do you have for this? In later years Ingrid did have an affair with Bob Capa which she writes about in her autobiography, My Story. As for other
affairs, she doesn't say. Yes, there are rumours, however there is no evidence.Ingrid herself said nothing. Privately she may have confided in a
close friend. But most of her friends and colleagues are dead. Anything they may have said is from their side--nothing from Ingrid. Now in her book Ingrid does write she became close to the playwright Robert anderson (during the 1950's when she was working in Paris and Rossellini was filming in India. But did she she mean emotional closeness or an actual physical affair. She doesn't
say.
Aside from those things the book is excellent and Iam really enjoying it--the narration as well as the photos.Iam am adding more to this review. Please understand I do not expect Ingrid Bergman's personal life to match her professional one. If it did she wouldn't have gotton so many awards. That many people really believed she was like the nun or the saint she played is a compliment to her acting ability. I'm simply concerned about resposible journalism. If one makes written statements about any person there should be concrete evidence to back it up.
