At first I almost didn't give this album 5 stars,It's length is the only bad thing about it.It has 11 tracks in just under 16 minutes, but that doesn't mean you shouldn't buy it.Killwhitneydead are death metal influenced hxc with plenty of samples to keep it interesting the guitar work is great too plus the two vocalists is great. They borrow samples from alot of movies from American Psycho to Fight Club.If you're of hardcore or death metal or even metalcore buy this now and support them so that they can record a longer album, that is if they can stay out of jail....this band has a reputation for getting in trouble with the law and is banned from its own home state, but like I said buy this album. It's great.Good guitar work, decent drumming, good vocals can't hear the bass to great but it also has some good lyrics.definantly worth the money.

I won't sit here and say Killwhitneydead are groundbreaking, inventive, or even completely original. But what they are is entertaining. Thought Never Good Enough For You was good but not heavy enough or the movie quotes weren't really memorable? Well this EP is what you're looking for then. From the get go the intensity you knew this band possessed comes out full force. The vocals even deeper than before, the riffs more monstrous, the quotes more dark. I figure any questions you have regarding this CDs content can all be answered with one look at the inside of the booklet. Gotta love crime scene photos!Killwhitneydead aren't a band to sleep on. They're gross, unrelenting, and just all around crazy. The music featured on this release shows those traits. There's ample talk of the devil, considerable coverage of blood and guts, and everything else disturbing you can think of. I'm not so sure that any metal head could pick up a KWD CD and enjoy it though. It actually wouldn't really surprise me if the metal community hated this band. As far as my opinion goes, I love every second of each KWD CD. Inhaling The Breath Of A Bullet just so happens to be my favorite of their releases. So basically, if you loved NGEFY but wanted something more, Inhaling The Breath Of A Bullet is sure to quench your thirst. I'd like to close this review with an excerpt from My Favorite Two Shades On You Are Black And Blue, which might help to describe the next KWD CD. "I think my mask of sanity is about to slip" Yep. |
