5.0 out of 5 stars Gimme Gimme Gimme!!!, September 27, 2006
This review is from: Inhumanity Reissue (Audio CD)
Finland birthed many bands, including, but not limited to, Children of Bodom, Insomnium, Amorphis and Finntroll. All of these bands played styles of music that seperated them from stereotypes and made a major impact. Another band has done that in late 2003, and they are Mors Principium Est.

Mors Principium Est is a band that you can describe well as a melodeath band, but what makes them unique is with their use of symphonics. At first listen, you could make comparisons to Children of Bodom, but you'll probably like this band too much to even care.

Overall, if you enjoy bands like In Flames, At The Gates, Kalmah, Children of Bodom or any band of that short, don't miss out on "Inhumanity". A record worth your time.

EDIT (2/12/07): Album art is wrong. That is the album art shown for "Termination = Liberation", their newest album.

5.0 out of 5 stars I cant believe how underrated these guys are, April 10, 2006
This review is from: Inhumanity Reissue (Audio CD)
I ordered this cd from this site for the hell of it because I need to hear more new music. This CD is everything you would want assuming you listen to MDM. The keyboards aren't played throughout each song. The vocals are solid also. Great riffs. Great song structures. In my opinion(which means really nothing to others) this CD belongs in the upper echelon of great MDM titles like slaughter of the soul, Jester race, whoracle. Please buy this CD.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Melodic Death, January 11, 2005

I was talking to someone from Germany a few days ago and they were browsing all the files I had. They liked what they saw but said I was missing a band called Mors Principium Est. It looked weird but I went to the local CD store and ordered it.

When it came in the mail I was pretty excited and least to say when I started listening to it I thought it sounded superb! It's like a perfect mix of Norther, Eternal Tears of Sorrow, Kalmah, Bodom, and occasionally Sentenced. The album is melodic to unparalleled extents and has some amazing guitar solos that aren't just show off picking but they compliment the song so well that it leaves you hungry, craving more of the music. The guitar riff's throughout the album are clever and combined with the bass, provide an excellent atmosphere for the album. The drumming is superb and technical. The vocals sound great as well, he has a great voice and when he does the clean vocals it sounds just as good, kind of liked Sentenced at times. The only downside is that the album seems too short for me because I get so into it that when it ends it just seems too soon.

Luckily they are releasing a new album that is said to be out around March '05.
