5.0 out of 5 stars Life Transforming
I first read Initiation 25 years ago, in all that time, I have never found a book that more clearly explains the history and purpose of human lives. Haich provides detailed information about the underlying spiritual reasons for details of human history and writes a fascinating account of what we are experiencing now, why and what is ahead. 2.0 out of 5 stars At Once Uplifting and Troubling
As someone who has loved and studied ancient Egypt all her life, I was excited to come across this book. Even though the writing style was not exactly to my taste, and there were too many passionate repetitions of her feelings vs. other people's more limited perspectives, I kept reading because much of what the author says struck a chord inside me, and there were some...

I first read Initiation 25 years ago, in all that time, I have never found a book that more clearly explains the history and purpose of human lives. Haich provides detailed information about the underlying spiritual reasons for details of human history and writes a fascinating account of what we are experiencing now, why and what is ahead. In 25 years, I have never found anything to contradict what she wrote so many years ago.
I re-read this book almost every other year, wrote a play from it and consider it the touchstone of my life.

5.0 out of 5 stars Absolutely Mind Blowing, February 15, 2005
This review is from: Initiation (Paperback)
I've been encountering a few paranormal experiences of late and never really understood what I was going through until my boyfriend recommended I read this book. The book was absolutely mind blowing for me because every now and then it would refer to a few things that I have experienced myself. It got me realising that I should never let unique experiences pass without questioning or delving into the matter further. I must say this book absolutely opened my eyes to greater potential and possibilities.

5.0 out of 5 stars Explains every question about god, spirit, life and death., September 15, 1999
This review is from: Initiation (Hardcover)
I just happened to go to a psychic and she told me that my spirit guides told me I should read this book. My spirit guide said that it would explain all the questions I have ever had about god, where I came from, and my past lives. And boy did it ever. The book goes in to great detail about birth, life, death, reincarnation, zodiacs, and so much more. I recommend it to anyone who is confused about god, religion or their spiritual well being. The content of this book will explain everything. I read every word in two days and accepted it as truth, not fiction.

5.0 out of 5 stars Enlightening Must-Read, August 21, 1999
By
This review is from: Initiation (Hardcover)
I, like many others, was told I had to read this book. I purchased it within days and literally inhaled the wisdom and truth that unfolded from its pages. I have just begun my spiritual journey in earnest and this book has pushed me further than any other reading has thus far. I felt I had lived it. as often I knew what the author would say before reading the printed words. I have since recommended it to others and found out it is no longer in print...as it turns out I picked up the last copy in a Tri-city area. I knew then I was chosen to receive this knowledge and I know I will refer to its guidance for my lifetime and plan to share it with as many as I can so we can all be a part of healing our souls and bring our lives closer to our creator...This novel has influenced me in a positively spiritual way.

5.0 out of 5 stars It brings the reader several steps closer to enlightenment., December 30, 1997

It was a difficult decision to rate this as a 10 until I gave up the possibility of reading a book that resulted in immediate enlightenment. This fictional journey into the initiation process in ancient Egypt takes the reader philosophically and emotionally into an expanded state of awareness. Not your average piece of fiction. This is a book that I have read several times through the course of my adult life. I would not want to be without a copy on my bookshelf.

5.0 out of 5 stars Definately worth reading, February 16, 2005
This review is from: Initiation (Paperback)
I have read many books on spiritual awakening over the past 15 years including "Way of the Peaceful Warrior" (by Dan Millman) mentioned by one of the other readers who wrote a review for this book and no other single book reached me in the way that "Initiation" did.
Sure there is the girlie "fluff" but that is to be anticipated considering it was written by a woman and mother. I guess the effect this book may have on a person is in great part determined by where they are in their life spiritually at the time they read it, but I must say that this book caused me to look deeper and to consider more than any other I had read before.

Yes it gets slow going at times and yes it changes tempo or style wiout prior warning, but such is real life. Its pages are filled with such descriptive imagery about ancient Egypt that anyone studying Egyptology or Hermeticism will find it a refreshingly different read. I may find another book that comparitively teaches me more or inspires an even deeper insight than this book could have ever accomplished, but then, I needed this book to unlock the door. Now that that is done, I can roam all through my spiritual mansion undeterred, exploring what all the new rooms have lying in store for me -for getting past that locked front door was my biggest challenge and this book was the allegorical "key".

This book may not be the end, but it will definately afford one more step towards that end.

5.0 out of 5 stars reflecting over Initiation, March 31, 2003

This was a book that I couldn't put down. It is a magical book. If you happen to stumble upon it, don't think that it is by chance. If movies like The Matrix, Vanilla Sky, and The True Man show intrigued and fascinated you, this book is for you. Besides from being entertaining, it gives detailed accounts on the hows of preparing for Initiation with excercises ranging from pin-pointed concentration to telepathy. A Must for anyone who is truly interested in Awakening...

5.0 out of 5 stars INITIATION Elisabeth Haich, September 23, 2000
By A Customer
This review is from: Initiation (Paperback)
Reading INITIATION illuminated my life. I was engaged immediately by the compelling story within a story that reveals profound spiritual truths. I could not put it down, until I finished it. Unsurpassed in the personal impact of the content and catalytic to the point of experiencing the initiation described. A must read for any searcher after mystical truth. The previously unpublished photo of Elisabeth Haich and Selvarajan Yesudian are worth adding this new edition to my library.

5.0 out of 5 stars This book is a life-changer, November 10, 1998
This review is from: Initiation (Paperback)
I read this book for the first time in my early teens, and twenty years later I am still coming back to it. With every read there is more recognition, truth and beauty to discover. There are so many more facets to the story than I suspected during the first read. Although the book lifts off slowly and some later chapters are decidedly difficult at a first confrontation with the subject matter, I recommend this book with all my heart to anyone even remotely interested in the esoteric sciences.

I've read quite a few books about philosophy, Atlantis, reincarnation, Edgar Cayce, etc., and this is one of the best so far. There are so many fascinating insights in this book.

Apparently because the author had been initiated into the Egyptian mysteries thousands of years ago she was somehow able to go back and remember those times. She reveals the answers to many great questions and mysteries.

The author had the ability to take a very internal experience and express it in such as way that others can relate to it. She ties in those memories from Egypt with her then current life on earth and shows how all of our past lives are interconnected.

It reveals many amazing things about Moses who she says was the last initiate and explains the significance of the biblical Exodus. She also explains how Moses parted the Red Sea and drowned the pharaoh and his army.

Apparently there were Atlantean devices inside the pyramids in Egypt at one time in the distant past and the Ark Of The Covenenant was one such device. The Ark as well as Moses' staff were made of a 'sort of bronze'. This was probably the reddish colored Atlantean metal 'orichalcum'. How interesting that the Atlaneteans were the red race.

It talks about how Atlantis was accidentaly destroyed by the black magicians and sorcerers when they abused terrible forces of nature. This to me sounded like a thermo nuclear explosion.

It explains the significance of certain geometrical shapes such as the triangle and pyramid. Who would doubt that the ancient Egyptians knew a lot about this ? This is undoubtedly where Plato heard about his famous geometric solids since Plato and I believe Jesus Christ also went through this initiation process.

The true origins of the zodiac are also explained.

There are many other amazing ideas in this book. I highly recommend it to anyone who is interested in philosophy. I wish I could find a similar book about someone who can remember Atlantis in this much detail.
