i don't do this often, i see a lot of bands working in a national venue establishment. these guys rock, plain and simple. its one of those cds you have in the car, at home in the player, and one just in case one breaks or gets stolen...lost 2 to the ex's.

This album is the best i have heard! Full of diferent sounds and styles for everyone. Hardcore rap on "CHUCK" or nice smooth punk on "people piss me off." Definatly worth listening to 24-7.

Classic 90's Innovation,
This review is from: Injected [Explicit] (MP3 Download)
This was the Junkeez album that landed them a major label deal. Recorded in a small recording studio on the outskirts of Atlanta Georgia, the guys were all in-sync for this album, and firing on all pistons. It was the first album that was written by all founding members, rehearsed over and over, and then tracked in one month. The improv on Me N' Yer Girl is classic, and the band rolled that over into their live shows, playing it differently every night. Love It Loud - I heard the guys were big Kiss Fans having grown up on Kiss Records, so they covered one of Kiss' not so well known songs, but still a classic Kiss song. Chuck - a hit in Australia, and an ode to a friend that passed away on his engagement party. Devil Woman - a take on the old song from the 70's "She's Just a Devil woman, with evil on her mind, beware the devil woman" - rumor has it, Soulman was affraid of women, and had bad experiences with women, henceforth, the devil woman relationship experience Angelo Moore from FIshbone plays saxaphone on this album in many tracks, and adds the whole "vibe" to Me N Yer Girl. Great album. This album gave birth to Kid Rock, Korn, Limp Bizkit - everyone wanted a PJ knock - off band... the Junkeez never made it past this album. Fear of a Whack Planet fell short of appealing the labels. Sex Drugs Rap & Roll was the final album for the founding core of the band. All members went on to create other interesting projects: K-Tel & The Jeff Effect, Bite, Devilutionaries, [...], Jed's A Millionaire, Hand Five. Always under-rated, but always appreciated by a complete generation. The band recently released the 96 tapes on iTunes which is a continuation along this vein. During tracking of the 96 tapes, the band fired founding singer K-Tel Disco. The 96 tapes tracking sessions came to an end. That is the last album featuring K-Tel and Soulman working together. The 96 Tapes is awesome, even though it is just demo quality, but you can still see what direction the band was going. And the band moved on, and regrouped, and began writing and tracking at a different location (Fear of a Whack Planet) Visit the remains of an era at [...]
