I have purchased these before from the same seller, about 9 months ago. I left a review last time even before having the ability to test them more. These cartridges are just a sliver over acceptable. Instead of giving an out of ink message, at the end of life you have two things happen. The printer says it can't recognize the ink anymore and you generally have a lot of air in the ink lines. The first isn't really too much of a problem. However the second is a big problem! You have to clean the heads at least 5 times in order for the air to be purged out of the line. Doing that kills the life of all other cartridges, too much waste!!
The price is pretty good so I ordered more. I really hope they read this review and try to do something about this. Maybe lower the price? Fix the cartridges? Please do something. I have been using Epson printers for at least 6 years and have purchased "re-manufactured" ink cartridges that whole time. You always run risks with them but most of the time it is acceptable. One time with another brand though they would give this message but be half full still! So I was lucky to get a refund from that other seller. In this case though it appears all the ink is gone, so I wonder if they are under filling them??

definitely the way to go if you own an artisan. they suck up ink so fast. These cartridges keep it affordable, and the staples three dollar recycling reward for cartridges makes it practically a buck a cartridge. Highly recommend

This ink works just as good as Epson ink but a LOT cheaper. Even if this ruined my printer after a year or 2, I save so much money that I can buy a new printer and still be ahead.

I have used 1 black and 1 light magenta cartridge. They both work fine. The printing looks normal and the printer cleaned itself with no problems. There is a tab at the top of the cartridge that says to remove. I did remove it but a little ink leaked out of the light magenta. I wasn't enough that I could not use it in the machine but it got on my hand. The original cartridges have no such hole on the top so I am wondering if the tab must be removed for my machine. I have since checked both and I have not seen anymore leakage. For school each semester I normally spend about $86 in ink. This is enough ink to for 2 semesters and I think it is a really great deal.

I bought this product and within a month of having them installed on my Epson Artisan 800 the printer started displaying error messages. "Cannot recognize the ink Cartridge". Eventually happened with every color that was purchased.
Do yourself a favor and spend the extra money for the legit Epson ink.

Ran out of cyan for my Epson Artisan 800, put this cartridge in and my printer gave me an error message saying it did not recognize the cartridge I just inserted.
Bummer. If these work for you, looks like a great deal. Didn't work for me. The company has offered a full refund including paying for return shipping, so no complaints there, but the product just didn't work for me.

I, like many others, bought this to save some money. My first impression was "YES!!!" It works perfectly. Ran through all of the colors once and black twice. Now on my second magenta/light magenta/and cyan and the printer started banding the colors. Tried all the maintenance steps and nothing. Contacted Epson and they advised to clean again. Banding got worse and with each clean, it get's even worse. The tech didn't ask me, he told me to switch to Epson ink and then re-clean and it should clear up the problem. I asked him how he knew I didn't have Epson ink in it and he said this is a classic case of what non-manufacture inks "can" do. Not every time. Not all the time. But probably when you really need it most! And BOY was he right. I was trying to print a wedding dvd I shot last month and it looked awful. Ran to Staples and dropped $60 (OUCH) and cleaned it 2 times. CLEARED RIGHT UP!!! Will use this ink though until gone and keep my Epson ink to clear it up...if it does it again!
Gave it a 3 as for the price, it is still a gamble I might do again. Wouldn't though on my Stylus Pro 4880!!!

These were hit or miss. Several of the cartridges didn't work. Most did, however after several months, no amount of print head cleaning could get a clear printout. I don't know how to get my printer working again at the same quality level as before, and have done at least 25 printer head cleanings, and according to all reviews online, it's due to using non-epson ink. All inks are not equal. Save some money but use these at your own risk.

I purchased, and am still trying to use this ink. My printer continually refuses to use the Magenta ink, and occasionally other inks as well, claiming that it doesn't recognize the ink cartridge. While the Epson ink may be a lot more expensive, it may be worth it when compared to the frustration.
