Peruvian coca teas are not as strong as the Bolivian Organic coca teas but they are still good and refreshing.

If you want a stronger kick, go for the Oruro A Grade Highland Coca Tea Oruro Premium Organic, 100ct 2 tea bags, 8 oz of hot water, wait 10 minutes ( 5 it is ok, but 10 makes the trick ), add some sweetener and drink it!

You must leave the tea bag inside the cup while you drink your tea, coca leaves have a heavy natural oil coat and it takes time for the water to get to the core of the leaves where the good stuff is, don't worry, it never gets bitter like green tea.

I also like to prepare my tea overnight, more the leaves stay in the water, more you get out of them! do not expect to get a good tea or get any energy if you are only brewing the tea bag for 3 - 5 minute, it will not work at all !!, unless you just need a good digestive tea. Coca tea takes a bit more of time and patience than other teas but the results are great!

DO you need something stronger than just tea bags?? Powdered Coca Tea NovoAndina Premium Organic Yungas Gold Label, One Pound - 453 Grams. Matcha Style then, use the powdered coca tea! 8 oz hot water, 1/2 - 1 tea spoon of the powder, add some sweetener, stir and let the powder sit at the bottom of the tea cup, a few minutes later, it is ready to drink! The powder is heavy so, it leaves more or less clear tea but if you need something clearer, just use a paper coffee filter or a plastic coffee filter and you're done! The remaining coca can be also ingested or use to make cookies or add to shakes or smoothies, nothing goes to waste, it is full of calcium, vitamins and mineral.

The Natural Way To Kick-Start Your Day

1. Put 2 cup (280 ml, 16oz.) of plain or Vanilla yoghurt into a blender.
2. Add some ice cubes.
3. Add 1 1/2 teaspoons of Powdered coca tea matcha style.
4. Optionally, add some sweetener of your choice.
5. Blend it and ...... Enjoy!

You can add any fruit to the smoothie, bananas, pineapples, mango or papaya are a nice complement to the coca smoothie.
Powdered Coca- Acai can be also used instead of pure Powdered Coca in order to get an antioxidant-energy drink.


Enjoy your coca tea and do not complain if you did not prepare it right!

not clear what this is made of. the seller calls it coca tea, but *nowhere* on the actual box or individual packets does it say coca tea or list any ingredients. no effect is noticeable either.

Having just returned from a trip to Peru, we were pleased to be reminded of that trip by drinking the tea we had enjoyed during our stay in Cuzco. It is everything I remember. The brand we enjoyed while we were there was "Delisse"; next time I will buy that, but this is just as enjoyable.

I love tea - I discovered this in Peru - it helps with my fatigue and addresses my colitis among 4 other colon diseases - I highly recommend this product - remember what helps one person may hurt someone else - our bodies are not all alike - I was told this product is not good for people with high blood pressure - I take my medicine so I am fine

Both products offer a fresh product but air tight bags keep the contents fresher

similar to the other comment, it was as if I was drinking lippton's or something - NOT WORTH THE $$ and seemed the ad was misrepresentative!!!
