This review is from: Inland Empire Electric Line: Spokane to Coeur d'Alene and the Palouse (Hardcover)
This book is a great compliment to the book Spokane's street railways: An illustrated history. Carter delves into the details of the interurban lines to Coeur d'Alene, Hayden Lake, Liberty Lake, and the Palouse, besides the terminal facilities in Spokane. He covers the building, operation, and demise of these lines. Photos in the book cover the entire timeline of the operation, from construction to the final days under Burlington Northern.

There is little information out there on this subject, yet Carter has dug out countless source material for his subject, and made it a very interesting read. I'm glad to own this book.
