5.0 out of 5 stars Much, much better than the slime filled tubes
I ride for 1 1/2 hrs. a day in an urban environment using a mountain bike with thick knobby tires. I was getting at least one flat a week. The slime tubes and liquid sealant provided by my bike shop didn't seem to work. If I ran over a thorn, the green slime would sometimes spray all over the bike and myself and still wouldn't prevent a flat. It also made the tires...

1.0 out of 5 stars two of four were defective
I ordered four tubes and four tires. Two of the new tubes seemed to have bad valve stems. Even with extreme tightening they had slow leaks. Trying different valve cores did not help at first. Eventually I got one of them to stop leaking by tightening the core with pliers on the core wrench. The other one actually exploded before I was through messing with it, and I...

It also made the tires harder to remove and patch effectively.

The use of these new thicker tubes and a kevlar tire liner in my tires has almost eliminated flat tires completely. In fact, I think I bought too many of these tubes in anticipation that I would still have some flat tires. After two months, I still have three of the four I purchased in their boxes sitting on a shelf.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great innertubes, January 19, 2009

Great inner tubes. I live in an area with a nasty thorn problem. Even with tire liners other inner tubes will puncture within a few weeks. These guys go months with no issues. They add weight to the bike, but pay for themselves in frustration prevention.

5.0 out of 5 stars Easy and Resilient, April 6, 2010

The true test of this tube is how long it will last, but it's rather thick and I was able to install it very easily. I've never replaced a bike tube before. I didn't notice it giving me any added resistance, so if you're not a hardcore biker this is a worthwhile investment without noticeably detracting from your speed.

You get what you paid for. It is good for what it was designed for, but not great. It is not as sturdy as I imagined.

Eventually I got one of them to stop leaking by tightening the core with pliers on the core wrench. The other one actually exploded before I was through messing with it, and I had to reuse one of my old tubes. As you might guess I was not at all satisfied but in the end I didn't bother to seek relief from the seller.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great Inexpensive Tires, October 11, 2008
This review is from: Inline Boxed Tube 26" x 1.75/2.0" SV (Misc.)
These tires are great and inexpensive. They require some adjusting to for street biking, although they appear to grip the street alright.
For a low priced tire, I say they suffice.
