5.0 out of 5 stars Fun Little Brain Teaser - Lotus Position Optional October 22, 2013

This game contains a number of mini-games, each consisting of a few number of "slides" that tests you in areas like math, memory, analytics and pattern recognition. Surprisingly entertaining and challenging! I can definitely see myself pulling up this app whenever I have a few minutes to kill. A refreshing change of pace from your traditional time murderer like Angry Birds. I personally love the memory games, probably because my memory isn't the best - too bad I can't add some more RAM to my head :)

One interesting thing I've noticed - it seems to be able to adjust the difficulty on the fly as you progress through each set of questions. I was really stumped on question 4 of 5 in an analytic set. When I finally figured out #4, the final question presented was very easy. It might be coincidence, but it reminded me a little of adaptive tests like GRE - pretty cool.

The app doesn't appear to have excessive permission requirements and works well without any glitches or crashes so far. Some earlier reviews mentioned seeing ads - I have yet to see one (will update this review if I do). Actual installed footprint on my phone is 9.67MB. Overall, it's a nice game that might actually give you a few extra IQ points by playing. I wouldn't mind paying $0.99 for it. As a free app of the day, it's definitely worth checking out!

5.0 out of 5 stars Lots of games, Very Engaging and Fun August 2, 2012

I was very pleased with this purchase! I at first tried the light version and then upgraded (for only 99 cents!) to the full version which includes even more games. This program is a mental workout and offers fun times simultaneously :) It is similar to Lumosity, for a FAR cheaper price! The option exists to play each game individually, or to follow mental exercise programs designed to increase in difficulty as your performance improves. This is definitely a great app and I am so thankful that as a recent graduate I can keep my mind sharp without such as a costly monthly fee like many other brain exercise programs!

1.0 out of 5 stars BORING October 22, 2013

I was really hoping for a fun type of brain training game and this just wasn't it. The games that seemed like they could be fun were ruined because they were unbeatable at the rate of speed it played. There was very little creativity to this. There's a game that gives you a written name of a color with a different color inside the letters. One word was fuschia with a color inside of it that could be considered a pinkish purplish just depending on the person & the options that were given to me could've been 3 out of 4. Another color could be silver or grey. Since grey is a shade & silver is metallic I don't even see why silver was an option in the game. I couldn't get the head to move in the maze. When I finally did it was so jerky & slow I backed out.

This game in no way should be anything other than free. Thankfully I got it as the FAOTD. It does have a lot of games to play but most I wouldn't consider to even be a game. It's just NOT fun! I am deleting this because I know there is absolutely no way I will ever want to play it again. There's plenty of free mind games that are far more fun!

I like the variety of choices, but some of the choices don't work on screen. The screen goes blank or the chosen feature doesn't come up. Its frustrating. The ones that work are good.

No excessive permissions- even can transfer game to an SD card, which is awesome as a function.

This game is a lot of fun in addition to being a brain job. The save ninja mode is really a challenge but with a fun premise. If you like sudoku there is a lot of that in here with other 3D challenges and some memory/matching games.

It will take a long time to get through the entire game which makes this not a throw away app which is nice, the challenges can be short enough to be satisfying when you only have a few minutes to spare.

Try it! you'll be an instant Einstein (not really)!

1.0 out of 5 stars Programming flawed April 23, 2013
Verified Purchase
I tried some of the modes with no problem. The correct answer was reflected and the pace was great. Then went into the reasoning section, tried the easiest mode and found that no matter how many times I set the setting to show the correct answer it defaulted back to the do not show correct answer. Too frustrating to continue using this app.
