5.0 out of 5 stars Inna Heights is the best Buju Banton album to date.
'Til Shiloh was Buju coming of age, maturing in Rastafarianism as well as in writing and performing. But Inna Heights is a whole level above 'Til Shiloh. Buju's writing has greatly developed, becoming more personal, more positive, more intelligent. His vocal performances are more powerful, his singing much stronger, his dj-ing unsurpassed. 3.0 out of 5 stars Different than til shiloh
I'm a rough and tough reggae lover, and I just gotta say that I didn't like this album music wise. The songs just seemed extreamly light and airy. Plus, it was as if he just discovered a casio synthesizer and thought it was the greatest thing since sliced bread. It just wasn't solid, which to me, is what a reggae album should be.

Buju's writing has greatly developed, becoming more personal, more positive, more intelligent. His vocal performances are more powerful, his singing much stronger, his dj-ing unsurpassed. I've seen Buju live many times, but one I will not forget is at last year's Tamika Reggae Music Awards. He performed Destiny and Close One Yesterday -- with just a piano player for accompanyment. The chills are back just remembering! Inna Heights is most definately the best reggae album -- roots or dancehall -- in the past several years. Buy it!

5.0 out of 5 stars Brilliant and Impeccable Album, May 13, 2003

No doubt this is Buju's best work. "Til Shiloh" is definitely up there, but Buju's words of inspiration and positive vibes are all over this album. Pick it up....you cannot go wrong with this album!

5.0 out of 5 stars Buju B - The Undisputed King of the Dancehall Scene, September 10, 2002

This review is from: Inna Heights (Audio CD)
Yes Iya - Big Up to all the massive - Much Respect. 5 Stars isn't enough to rate this artist - I need at least seven.
In this album... Buju's full vocal range gets through tracks that are now classics - My personal favourite "Redder than Red" - one example of his ruff-'n'-tuff-can't-get-enuff dancehall style. My first copy of this CD cracked slightly while I was cleaning it - Now I will definitely be buying another one. Buju - You are the BEST !!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Hands Down the Best Buju Album, February 14, 2002
This review is from: Inna Heights (Audio CD)
Buju Banton, Inna Heights, is one of the best reggae albums out to date. It is a very versatile album, with each track bringing something new to the table. It is tough to narrow down the dominant tracks, but my personal favorites are Close One Yesterday, African Pride, Small Axe, and That's My Number(A Great Cover of The Toots and the Maytals Classic). Buju sheds a very positive light on the reggae world, and this album, in my opinion is his masterpiece. With the exception of any Marley or Tosh album, this is about as good a reggae album as you'll ever find.

5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome, March 17, 2000

I have all of Buju's past albums and I am impressed by the progression of his music through the years. The maturity of the music and content reaches a higher level every time he releases an album. This is a must have!

5.0 out of 5 stars BUJU is one of the best, November 18, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Inna Heights (Audio CD)
Buju Banton is one of the best if not the best in reggae entertainment today. Other dj's are mostly one track and can't even begin to talk about other or serious subjects in their music. Buju does it all, and in this album he just shows us that he'll continue to surprise us with wicked and enlightening music.

5.0 out of 5 stars I think this is the best of Buju yet......., November 7, 1999
This review is from: Inna Heights (Audio CD)
Simply the best. What can I say I own his other 3 albums and I cant wait to hear his next composition. My favourites on this album are "Destiny" and "Redder than Red"......... every time I hear "Redder than Red" I can't help it but just dance and feel so happy! Well Buju keep it up you give us the best reggae music, second of course to the King of raggae Bob Marley. .....Buju when are you coming to Vancouver?.....

Any raggae music lover out there I encourage you to purchase this album you will enjoy it. I keep mine with me all the time and listen to it whenever I want to pick myself up.

5.0 out of 5 stars BIGGER, BRIGHTER, BETTER, September 13, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Inna Heights (Audio CD)
On "Inna Heights," Buju Banton further develops the panoply of sounds, styles, and themes he so successfully fused on "Til Shiloh." He is, truly, the lone heir to Marley's throne.

5.0 out of 5 stars Buju Banton is a man with inspiration, August 9, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Inna Heights (Audio CD)
Buju Banton has shown that he's not only a man with inspiration but also a man with vision. Inner Heights has touch me in more ways than one. I'm sure that it has touched many others. Each and every one of those songs on this album is my favourite. I can't listen to one of the songs on Inner Heights and not listen to the others. I think the combination with Toots Hibbert was supurb. Africans with African pride...I just love it I would love to take this opportunity to tell Buju I don't think any other fan loves him the way I do and the reason I love him so much lies in his music and the songs that he sings. I've always been a fan of his ever since i've heard Browning. I'd like to encourage him to continue singing uplifting and inspirational songs. Can't wait to get another album from The Banton. One love my brother.
