5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent!
This book is very dear to my heart. I enjoy it because it is so simple and easy to read. In plain and uncomplicated language it lays the foundation of WHY to meditate. And, it beautifully describes some exercises we can do now so that we can know ourselves better. It includes simple instruction for beginning meditation technique which has helped me and my friends...

1.0 out of 5 stars Should be called: Inner and Outer Peace Through God......lame
This book had some really good views and ideas on how meditation may make you feel which is only partially what I was looking for. It had a very SMALL chapter on "HOW TO" meditate and the rest just talked about "god".... I think after the 4th or 5th chapter he must have use the word god about 3 times a sentence. The book started off really good but I had to FORCE myself...

This is the book I most often give to friends and relatives when they tell me they are interested in learning to meditate. I highly recommend it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Brilliant essay on the importance of meditation., August 6, 1998
By A Customer
Rajinder Singh has done it again! In this book, he brilliantly explains why meditation is so utterly important and helpful in many ways for everyone of us. This book appeals both to the scientifically-minded and the more esoterically inclined reader. Rajinder Singh, a natural scientist and a master of yoga, finds words that appeal to everyone, whichever background he or she may come from. More than meditation, the author offers compelling views on ethical living with chapters on themes like non-violence, thruthful living and selflessness. This book touches you deep down in your soul, entices your intellect, and makes you want to become a better person. It is definitely one of those three books I would take with me to that famous lonely island.
