Kira Fontana is one to watch,

I love this album- really one of the most original things I've heard in a while. Great orchestrations, surprising moments with strings and percussion, and powerful lyrics that have already made me cry (in a good way). It's like a Steve Reich / Bjork / Sigur Ros / Sufjan Stevens lovechild. I don't know why more people don't know about this woman!! Buy this album!!!

Kira Fontana is a rare artist, writing moving, beautiful music that goes from solo piano to an almost symphonic rock and back again in a powerful and unique way. Her songs are passionate and real, with a gorgeous voice and melodies that haunt me long after I listen. Brilliant, brilliant album - I wish I could give it 10 stars!

Kira Fontana writes some of the most inspiriting music I have ever heard. A strong sense of her classical training breaks through combined with an individual and unique sound, and a bit of rock all blend together to produce this amazing music. Beautiful and fulfilling with an incredibly passionate voice, there is nothing more you can want out of this album.

This album is truly one of the best albums I've heard in a long time. It is a beautiful and breathtaking fusion of styles that ultimately emerges as a creatively amazing new voice. Not only do the pieces on this album show what an advanced composer/musician she is, the pure emotion that takes you over while listening to her music is an unforgettable experience. I would highly recommend this CD to anyone. Do buy this album and definitely watch out for Kira Fontana!

A rare find!,

The greatest thing about this album is that it's so passionate and filled with emotion, but it's actually uplifting - a rarity these days. Kira's ability to move from a beautiful song with just her on piano (like Still) to a huge song rich with layers of awesome instrumentation (like Bloom) is amazing. The whole album flows together so well, and really maintains a great vibe. It's energetic, but soothing and very sexy too. I've listened to this so much since I got it... I can't wait to see what she does next!

This woman's voice is deep and luxurious, with a richness and intensity that opens the heart and touches the soul. It is provocative, intimate and authentic. Her songs and orchestrations are sophisticated and delightfully uplifting at the same time...truly extraordinary. Beyond passionate and sensual, this is music that makes you FEEL. What a breath of fresh air. Thank you, Kira!

Alluring and Alive!,
This review is from: The Inner Revolution (Audio CD)
This album creates its own weather. Evocative, Igniting and Ethereal. Each song is its own world, charged with a rich, building resonance, an orchestral, full sound and an acoustically endearing alt-rock that illuminates a vast spectrum of passion... and Kira has a voice like champagne. 'The Inner Revolution' creates a space, and fills that space with raw beauty... like a thousand candles echoing their light on the walls of a midnight cathedral. Organic, intimate, captivating and courageous, it inspires 'faith in feeling' alive. Definitely take the time to listen to this one!

After enough people recommended this to me I decided to give it a shot - and it's better than anything I've heard in years. Great melodies, awesome voice, and a kind of Smashing Pumpkins-ish melancholy that gets transformed into something really hopeful in Kira's hands. It's hard to find a record where all the songs are actually good, so I consider this a serious find - it's literally better every time I listen. This album won't be a secret for long...
