Book Description

January 1, 2010
Inner Security and Infinite Wealth is an innovative approach to creating inner security, freedom from worry, and a more fulfilling relationship with money. The approach evolved as a result of conversations between the authors. Zimmerman, in search of security beyond the securities industry, had just stepped away from a multi-million dollar money management firm while Rosen, a visionary thinker, had dedicated his life's work to creating a world in which love is the highest standard. Joined by a mutual dream of a world where love, compassion and money flow together seamlessly, the authors created the book for people who want to redefine their relationship with money, discover security beyond financial security, and achieve riches beyond material wealth. While the authors maintain that money is not the key to happiness, they reveal simple financial concepts can provide a profound means of self-discovery. Cleverly utilizing financial terms such as allowance, will, inheritance, ownership, value, trust, investments, appreciation and exchange, the book provides an enlightening strategy for discovering wealth from theinside out.

Editorial Reviews

From Publishers Weekly

Written by two men transformed by the events of September 11, this book is intended to offer bored, stuck-in-a-rut readers a path to a more rewarding existence. Instead of focusing on the outward trappings of wealth (such as a higher salary, profits from trading stocks or a better job), the authors say, people should become more aware of what they want out of life and what legacy they want to leave behind. Zimmerman and Rosen, who run the consulting firm Inner Securities Inc., write in simple sentences, using a bold typeface for emphasis, to deliver their message. They ask, "Why has money been the basis of so much pain and conflict? One answer to this question is because people feel betrayed. Betrayed by money. Betrayed by a belief.... Or a lack of something to believe in." They then describe how money has been contaminated by greed, jealousy and other forms of abuse. The bottom line: people should strive for inner security, which is far more rewarding than outer wealth. Similar, obvious theses are stated for writing a will (it should transcend the traditional document to become a promise to "live a life of Inner Security. To create Heaven on Earth during my lifetime. To leave a blueprint for its sustainability for all who survive me"). Undoubtedly, many people did change both their professional and personal priorities after September 11. However, this book offers few original insights, and its advice can be found in countless other self-help books written both before and after recent acts of terrorism.

5.0 out of 5 stars One of the best books of this kind, July 29, 2003
This review is from: Inner Security and Infinite Wealth: Merging Self Worth and Net Worth (Hardcover)
Just about everyone seeks out some sense of security and wealth in order to lead a fulfilled and happy life. The problem lies in how we define security and wealth. We all have various concepts of security and wealth that have been defined by our culture, our parents, our friends, and our experiences. This is a shaky foundation on which to base your happiness.

In "Inner Security and Infinite Wealth" the authors examine the concepts of will, inheritance, ownership, value, trust, allowance, investment, appreciation, and exchange and redefine them into deeper concepts instead of being only related to money. They recognize that money is an important part of net worth, but reframing the above concepts can change an individual's relationship with money. Enlightening, well written, and powerful, this is easily one of the best books of the year in the area of self-worth and a highly recommended purchase.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great book to help increase abundance in life, June 10, 2003

This review is from: Inner Security and Infinite Wealth: Merging Self Worth and Net Worth (Hardcover)
This book is part instruction manual, part inspirational guide. It offers the reader new definitions of traditional financial terms, in order to reach a deeper level and experience of security and wealth. I really love the way the authors take each chapter and focus on one aspect of wealth and how we can embody it more fully or possibly for the first time ever in our lives! This book needs to be read by anyone interested in altering, for the better, the way they view wealth, abundance, security and prosperity.

4.0 out of 5 stars Glad I bought it., June 27, 2003

This review is from: Inner Security and Infinite Wealth: Merging Self Worth and Net Worth (Hardcover)
It's encouraging to see two people involved with finance and business and such go to the effort to write something like this. They've done what no one else, to my knowledge, has yet been able to do: strike a realistic, achievable balance between the American drive to succeed and acquire, and our tendency to try and do so in the most ignorant, ham-handed way possible. They teach that it is possible to earn and amass money while still living true to all the lofty ideals we had in college. The only thing that bums me out is that too many people will thumb through it and immediately think "ah, bunch of hippy dreamers." Trust me, the hippies wish they had a vision this clear and universally applicable.
