5.0 out of 5 stars Relaxing beautiful music, July 24, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Inner Voices (Audio CD)
I have had this album many years and it always is pleasant to listen to. I carry a taped copy in the car and when I am in a traffic jam I will slip it in to the tape player and sit and and relax instead of being harried and frantic. Stolzman is one of the world's top clarinetists and his playing is beautiful whether he is playing pop or classical music. I highly recommend this album.

5.0 out of 5 stars PEACE music, October 17, 2009

I heard this song on XM RADIO and realized I had to have it. Judy Collins' voice beautifully sings the words to the song, "Deep Peace" and you can actually FEEL the prayer soaking into your skin. The music on the rest of the album is beautiful and PEACEful.

5.0 out of 5 stars Who Knows Where the Innisfree Goes?, October 26, 2007

Jay Cohen (Santa Monica, CA) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
This review is from: Inner Voices (Audio CD)
The playing is what I expected and the tunes, lovely as air. But here is a riddle: on my very original cd edition, the song, "Innisfree," with words, of course, by the Irish poet, WB Yeats, was actually ...well, er, THERE! Now it isn't. How does that happen? Anyone who buys this is lead to believe that it is what it says, but it is not. Decidedly. Gone is the absolutely thrilling duo with Judy Collins (who still performs on the first track) but call me kooky or kookla Fran and Ollie, I just can't adjust to a world like that! Does anyone know the answer to where the real Innisfree went? Remember, it's an island on a Lake?

Well, alright, I fess up. No, I did not take the Lake Isle of Innisfree; I confess however, that one listen to this seminal production (turning the clarinet back into a star) and even your savage beast would be tamed.

Jay Cohen, Santa Monica
